It was clean and having sink in the room was nice.

Could hear guests snoring in room next to ours and anytime anyone was in the hallway.

This is a typical guesthouse with a common kitchen and eating area. The room had a small sink that was much appreciated. Showers and restrooms were shared and kept very clean. We enjoyed the international vibe and enjoyed meeting other travellers.

Room was clean, but not so spacious and had a tiny sink. Shared toilets could have been a bit cleaner, but did the job. Shared kitchen fully equipped and perfect for a short stay. If you’re like, you get the sea view room.

Walls are thin, so we could hear the guest next door snoring. Our room was not so spacious.

location is good. There is a free car washing just next to the guesthouse.

    Not friendly for cooking.

    Nice location

Very little storage space in the very packed dormitory: no cupboards or shelves around the bed, under bed space can't fit small suitcase, only a few hangers and I couldn't even hang my jacket. No hot hot water in the shower, only lukewarm, and the shower room window can't be closed so it's cold to shower even in summer. There's a sign says ask front desk for hairdryer, but there was nobody there when I need to use it.

Very convenient location and the place is clean including the shared bathrooms, no shoes inside the guesthouse. You have everything you need in the kitchen.

Dinner time the kitchen gets super crowded...had to queue for a while because there is only one sink...for everyone to meal prep and wash up dishes...

Very clean and in a convenient location! Staff was friendly. The sink in the bedroom was an unexpected surprise and there was a washer and dryer you could pay to use (800 isk).

Hot water runs out quick - there are signs to warn guests to take quick showers to preserve water. Unfortunately I got freezing showers while staying there since the guesthouse was fully booked with guests. The kitchen area is also very small and cramped for the number of guests it can hold.

We had a separate room that was on the first floor and around the corner (across from the gas station). We really enjoyed the privacy as well as the spacious, clean room and private bathroom. Additionally, it was in a good location on our route through the peninsula.

There is a sign that said the electricity for the washer/dryer and the stove turn off at a certain time in the evening. I am sure this may be for noise reduction but we noticed that during those hours the water for the shower and the sink were cold. It was unpleasant taking a cold shower before bed.

Our room and bed are too small as a double room. Smelly towels. Next to the washer and dryer, so it was noisy even after 11pm. Besides, a large group was having a drinking party in common area late to the mid night.

    Property response:

Hi, I am sorry to hear that. We do state the size of the bed and the room in the description on booking.com so the guests can know that when they book. They dryer and washer are on electric timer that shuts of at 22.00 but guests can use them until then.

When I booked this accommodation, I thought it was a guesthouse - but actually, it was more like an upscale hostel. The rooms were like private guesthouse rooms with a small sink and there was a communal kitchen where many guests prepared their meals in a very respectful and sharing atmosphere. Everyone observed the quiet hours and sharing the bathroom and shower rooms was easy. Everything was clean and the staff member there was very friendly and helped me figure out the coffee maker in the morning!

Very friendly and helpful staff, very large kitchen, well equipped, but lots of guests were cooking there, so it was a little loud. Sleeping room was simple, but clean and ok.

    Rainy and stormy weather

This guesthouse is in a great location, was very comfy and clean. The common kitchen and dining area upstairs was well equipped and had an awesome view.

    I wished each bed/person had. 2 pillows.

    Nothing special

There was no hot water (it indicated that in that part of Iceland hot water is in shortage (why hot water?) and should be used carefully which we fully support an do … but we had no hot water at all it should be said, clear).

The structure is pretty big and with many guests but it is also well equipped to host them properly. The room was simple but it had everything we needed. The bathrooms and toilets were also very funcional. The big kitchen has everything for guests to cook!

The building itself is not particularly nice and right next to a fuel station.
