Comfortable hotel in a nice location accessible to the peninsula’s sights.

The bathroom was very small and I did not like the shower door configuration.

The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. The restaurant food was very good.

I prefer soft cotton sheets over flannel. That is my only criticism.

Clean and modern. The breakfast buffet was superior with so many choices.

The rooms are not as nice as the rest of the hotel (especially the bathroooms--I didn't shower because the shower was exceedingly small and didn't look very nice).

The location is great, the lobby is nice, the staff are amazing, and the dinner/breakfast were wonderful.

Confortable hotel but you need to stay in upgraded room.

    • Triple Room
    • Stayed 2 nights

Room on ground floor and people walking by the room and could look in the windows. No refrigerator (important for those traveling around and have food to refrigerate… only upgraded rooms have a fridge), showers doors only close partially and water gets everywhere in the bathroom. Coffee in the room was only partially restocked.

Location, clean, beds comfortable, quiet hotel. Nice inside of the hotel. We did not eat at the hotel. Typically Islandia prices. 3500 Isk per person for breakfast.

Small rooms, small bathroom. Wide range of food in breakfast but it wasn't very good in taste. The hotel charges way more than it should.

Clean rooms. Some with views of the harbor. Ours had mountain views which were also beautiful. This is the only big hotel in stykkisholmur. Great location to explore the cute tiny town.

The decor of the second room, a triple, (for two people) was dated. The left side of the sink was missing, there was gray paint on the headboard and the shower door did not close properly.

We had reserved two rooms. The family room was excellent.

Nothing to dislike. Dining room seemed busy most nights (I ate elsewhere).

Large, comfortable hotel set high above the town, Staff were friendly, with large dining area with good views over the town - in which a good breakfast was served. Short walk into town and harbour. Plenty of free parking. Golf course nearby.

The hotel is in process of renovation which is good and needed. Unfortunately our room was still not touched, meaning the furniture was quite old, bathroom not really modern etc but it gave us good comfort.

Room availability even though very short notice (we booked at 7.00pm for same day) Professionally run

The lights around the property will make it tricky to view auroras if you are lucky enough to have activity at night.

Clean, beautiful room with excellent ensuite bathroom. TV had English language channels. Had the best free toiletries of our trip. Very close proximity to groceries as well as an in house restaurant.

Double room was a bit tight and bed was a little too hard but nothing that would have made it a deal breaker. Definitely one of the pricier stays we had while in Iceland though.

Very central and nice property. Restaurant on the property was convenient though definitely pricey. The triple room was very big and spacious. The double was a bit tight. The front desk staff was fantastic and helpful, especially Maria who was just lovely! She called us by request when you could see the northern lights and we had an amazing view of it from the hill behind the hotel!
