Great place to stop at when touring the golden circle or heading to the southern part of the country. Large hotel in a great location in Selfoss, right by the main center and near the river. Rooms were quite nice. The breakfast and bar area overlooking the river was a nice place to enjoy a meal or drink.

Available parking at no fees for guests (have to register at the reception). Good location close to food hall and supermarket.

Friendly and helpful staff, laundry service was appreciated!

Dated decor of the room and bathroom that needed renovation

I would have loved it if the double bed were an actual double rather than two singles pushed together. It’s not a huge problem though.

The room was larger on this side of the hotel than the other and included breakfast. Breakfast was very nice. Good selection and large, bright breakfast area. Check in and parking registration was very quick and efficient.

The locatoin was ideal. The room was clean but small. We stayed a few days earlier but on the other side of the hotel where the rooms were bigger and breakfast was included. We didn't realize the difference at the time of booking.

Everything was fine other than not realizing the difference in the room type on our second stay vs the first one.

We booked a River view room and view was beautiful! Walking distance to endless restaurants and shops. Shops were mostly only open 11am-6pm , but many restaurants and bars in the area stay open late. Grocery store across the street. Free breakfast buffet was really good. Happy hour 2-1 was a great way to kick off nighttime festivities. We loved this hotel.

The water smelled like sulfur. We were told to run it until the smell subsided but that took 5-8 mins and the smell came right back after water was shut off and then turned back on. Only place in Iceland where we wouldn’t drink the water.

The lady at the reception was very friendly and helfpful. We enjoyed the spa and the good breakfast. Room clean and comfortable. Location is perfect.

The location is right on the heart of the city. Lots a places to eat too around the hotel.

We stayed in the old section of the hotel and that’s very dated, old carpets and the bathroom is not comfortable.
