Only bad thing was there was mold on the ceiling in the shower room. But other than that the showers were great!

Amazing house, very comfortable and spacious. Extremely well equipped kitchen, we found everything we needed. The owners left very clear instructions that helped a lot organizing our stay. The house is in the middle of the fields, so it;s extremely quiet, but it's 10 mins drive from Hofn, so very convenient.

We did need an extra cot and didn't seem to have an easy way to contact the owners to get that.

The house was comfortable for us. The only additional thing we would have enjoyed would have been a living room, but we used the dining room as our gathering place.

We had a lovely one-night stay at Sauðanes Guesthouse during our road trip around Iceland. The location is serene, with breathtaking sea and mountain views right from the balcony—perfect for a quiet and relaxing evening. The room was clean, cozy, and warm, with all the basic amenities provided, including fresh towels and linens. Check-in was smooth and straightforward, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. The property is just a short drive from Höfn, making it a convenient stop along the Ring Road. Highly recommend this guesthouse if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with scenic surroundings and great value. Would definitely stay again!

Guesthouse was big and spacious, just nice for a group of 8 travelling together. Instructions were clear and left in places like toilets and kitchens as reminders.

The shared shower area is unisex but I don’t think the partition between 2 cubicles are that high. Best is to shower with your friend or partner, occupying the 2 cubicles at the same time. The rooms are quite small and would be difficult to open 2 luggage at one go. But the luggage stand provided helps :) There wasn’t clear instructions stating if we should place the unwashed utensils in the dish washer or not.

The place is relatively clean, and there was no restrictions unlike other guesthouses. There is a sink in your own room and there are many bathrooms in the guesthouses. There is a luggage stand and hangers provided in the room. There are teas, coffee, spices and cereals provided in the kitchen. Enough tables and chairs are provided at the shared dining space.

This was one of the nicer guesthouses we stayed in, on our Ring Road trip. 10 mins out of Hofn with fantastic views of mountains. Effort has been made in decorating the guesthouse to make it a welcoming and pleasant stay. Well equipped kitchen and a separate seating area with views. Comfortable beds. Note four bedrooms are upstairs where there is one toilet., but there are also showers and toilets downstairs. If stairs are a problem, ask for a ground floor room.

Lovely countryside location, surrounded by fields with geese. The guesthouse feels like home from home, candles and diffusers give a a lovely warm homely feeling. Well organised, comfortable and clean.

According to the Booking pictures, the promised location is a place dived in the calm of the Icelandic plains downstream of the glaciers. Well, the promise was kept, the house was very welcoming, clean in every corner, the kitchen very well equipped with plenty of good things available to make a coffee or tea to your liking. Our room had a window directly overlooking the glacier that we had observed the same afternoon. The bench suspended outside is perfect for sitting day and night to enjoy the local fauna and flora. Everything was very cozy, you really fell like home. The guesthouse provides all the necessary. We didn't meet the hosts but they were very kind and you can feel their touch in the house. The view is great, I'm sure that you can see beautiful northern lights here if you are luckier than us 😀

We love the cleanliness of the property. Shoes to be taken off before entering the living space. Toilets are shared but kept very clean. Kitchen are fully equipped for us to prepare our meals.

Full transparency, we were not super comfy in the beds, but we got a full night's sleep and lovely roof over our heads! So, we don't want to complain. But if it helps for improvement, we pushed the beds together to sleep and they were just barely different heights so it created a comical attempt at sharing the beds, as one bed would slide away while one of us would slide off to the other bed. We had a good laugh.

We so enjoyed our stay at your guesthouse! We loved your story and pictures that you shared. We only stayed one night, so we didn't really use the dining area or kitchen, but the shower and bathroom and bedrooms were lovely and clean. We saw the northern lights! And it was a gorgeous location overall. We were generally warm and comfy. Thanks so much for your hospitality. We loved our stay.
