Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe pillows were awful. They need to be upgraded. The amenities listed were "Air Conditioning", which is false. I checked into my room on a warm sunny day and it was hot inside because of the direct light. There's no thermostat and no air conditioning. Only one window opens 4 inches, so you can barely get fresh air in the room. If you want a quiet night sleep, forget it. Bars are directly across, underneath, and next to the building. Unless you stay up till 2-5am, you better take some sleeping pills.
The location is great. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The room and bathroom are spacious. The nespresso machine & mini fridge are two of the most important things I look for and both worked great. The shower has excellent water pressure and shower heads.

United StatesBiggest issue for us was that it was a non-refundable booking and due to a death in the family we had to leave early with no refund. There is not breakfast, and there is not any on-site staff, just so those who are booking are aware. (Breakfast is available many places nearby though!) The building is pretty old and some things are hard to make LOOK clean, although I think it all had been cleaned.
The code to get into the building worked fine for us, and the rooms were large. There were earplugs and we did not find the noise too aggravating, although there WAS intermittent noise throughout the night. There were plenty of outlets for charging stuff. The location is great for getting food and seeing the sights of Reykjavik.

Since the hotel was essentially self serve (you could get additional towels or toilet paper on own with code to access) it would have been nice to have more than one towel and one roll of toilet paper at start of multi day trip. However it was nice to get when convenient for us.
Location was perfect for experiencing the City. Even though there were no staff on-site they were readily available to answer questions.

United StatesComically loud at night til 2am when I put on noise cancelling headphones. TV had one channel playing sports that worked. Mugs were dirty, whole building felt tired and dirty outside of the room. Really tired of self check-in locations.
Central location, nice shower, nice blackout curtains. This was comfier for me than their other property in town, Swan House, due to the presence of bedside tables and lamps.

ItalyAfter five nights, I asked for a room cleaning, and nothing happened. As soon as I asked for assistance, they granted the cleaning for the day after saying that they had a lot of people checking out, so there were a lot of rooms to clean (!). I’d also like to have a small table to work, but there is no table in the room.
The location (1 min to the Rainbow Street), the comfort, the contactless check-in and the remote assistance while I was there. Plus the accurate cleaning service (thank to a very good professional)
