Good accommodation for a hostel, cooking facilities were clean and tidy,

This was the noisiest room during our stay in Iceland. I couldn't sleep for half the night because there were noisy guys checking in, and the soundproofing was very poor. It seemed to me that someone was rolling stones on the floor.

This hostel is quite a large one with 3 large kitchens. Located in the middle of the nature. All is clean despite the number of travellers.

Nothing much, really. Well, it is a "hostel," so don't expect a luxurious room with private bathrooms.

Value for money is incredible considering the extremely high prices in Iceland. Facilities are kept clean despite being shared by many travelers. Despite being a hostel, there is a hair dryer and a small sink in the room - which helps for quick needs such as brushing your teeth and setting your hair.

A bit of chaos in the common bathrooms, people left their wet towels there and didn't tidy up before leaving (wet floor). Anyway, the bathrooms were clean.

Very tidy and clean, both the private room and the common rooms (kitchen and tables). Exceptional position in the country in the middle of nowhere, absolutely peaceful.

Washer and dryer were available but not able to buy card...The card was available to buy at the registration office. Other tenants helped us but no one knew. We didn't use whatapp to contact the host.

For so many guests it can hold there weren't enough bathrooms. The road to the place was gravel, not comfortable to drive on

There was no proper exhaust in the kitchen and even in the dining area causing the smell of cooking/food to spread throughout. The knives were not sharp. They should add more pots/pans in the kitchen considering that people take out the entire pot with them while dining and only clean and put them back after having food. They can also add black out curtains in the room, because it doesn't get dark during summer months. Some of the showers didn't have a floor towel.

The room was good and clean. They have a big dining area and three separate kitchen of different sizes. Kitchen was fully equipped with the necessary utensils, but you need to bring every thing of your own (even salt/sugar etc.). Even though all wc/showers are shared, they were clean and enough for everyone. Considering that it is called a hostel, I didn't expect such good facilities.

The property was easy to get to, however, please note part of the road is not paved. It wasn't an issue, just for information. The community kitchen and dinig spaces were suffcient. There were enough facilites as well, so there was no queue forming as such, outside, there is a lake with a bench that can be enjoyed.

Everybody’s smelly shoes in dining room.

If you are not a smoker, you will suffer till 2 am. The base area for smoking is just literally the main entrance to the building. You can imagine what you smell every time someone opens the door. At night, it’s problematic to as well. I lived on the 2nd floor just above the entrance (smoking base area). It was awful till 1-2 am until all those people went sleeping. I still can’t understand why it was so hard for the owner to move the smoking area a few meters farther from the entrance.

The kitchens weren't the cleanest. There was a huge group of people travelling together and they were extremely loud and disrupting during dinner time and the next morning during breakfast.

Big parking space, three kitchens and a spacious shared dining room. The room was small but clean and comfortable. There were enough bathrooms and showers and since we are at the end of the corridor it felt like we had a private bathroom.
