Owners are so friendly and warm people. Whole place was so clean. I really want to visit here again during winter time.

The host was very kind. He loves the area and gave us some ideas as where to visit/hike. We liked the kitchen/ dining area where we made a plan for the next day. The living room was lovely.

Located in a beautiful valley, this is the coolest place i’ve stayed in iceland so far! The host was great, and very accommodating!

We are very happy that we stayed at this guesthouse — the house was so clean and cozy, and the host was so welcoming and friendly that we were left with the best impressions! The surrounding nature is wonderful. Thank you so much for the warm welcome — we will definitely recommend this place to everyone as a great place to stay!

Finding this house let me discover a part of Iceland which I didn’t know about. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful area, a place to rest!.. I really enjoyed a feel of a local home. I find it so wonderful that a family lives there and opens their house for guests to share some icelandic vibes. The room is super clean and cozy, all house is nicely decorated and well maintained. Special time and I wish to come back again!..

Wonderful stay and wonderful host! Very cozy and large house, so we were able to rest a lot after some longer hikes. Ultimately great host, who told us a lot instightful info about the eastern part of Iceland as well as he mentioned a set of hidden gems. It is a must stay if you travel through north-east/east part of the island. It is also a great place in terms of close location to different attractions (Stuðlagil canyon, Hengifoss). Highly recommended!

We were finally able to do our laundry! But aside from that, we had an entire gorgeous house to ourselves. Nice to feel like we were relaxing at home after a string of hotels.

Needs some horses on site for cuddles.

Host was very welcoming and made us feel at home with his conversation. We had a great time and are only sad we didn't get to talk more.

The property is a bit out of the way for us, but finding it was straightforward with the provided instructions

The location here is wonderful - the area is really a jewel. In summer, when you look out the window from your room, it's like a fairytale - mountainous surrounds with multiple waterfalls, sheep roaming around the property. WiFi, parking, and the guestroom itself, are all great. Kartjan, the host, is a lovely, understanding man who really takes the time to get to know his guests, and is ready with local knowledge, and has great tips for things to do in the area.

The guestroom is a spare room in the host's personal home - in this way privacy is not perfect. The kitchen and bathroom are also shared with the host and his family. These rooms were however always available for use when we needed, but the hygiene could sometimes be a bit better.

Beautifull area and I got a real warm welcome. On top of it - by accident - I was brought by the "neigbour" living at 4 km distance for the last part because of a road reparation on arrival day. Which in Iceland means you have to ride to next bridge and back. And the neighbouw twee that to return. This was extreme ly sympathatic and tells how nicely the community is. Host and son were also help full to bring me on the spots like Heretage Museum (2nd day) to 10 km to good hiking place (leaving 3rd day).

As I put it I had 3 times need for help to get there at arrival to and get away as well. Sadly for NOT-cardrivers that also was a need. I was helped by host very well. So I highly recommend the accomodatition if you are in East Iceland and in case you rent a car. Then you ve a great place. Because there is no buss till 50 kms from the place I would take care without own/rental car. Then make sure that you can bike or at least have a good condition to reach the nice house at the riverside.

Everything! The view, well equipped kitchen, the furniture. It was absolutely amazing!
