Spacious, large rooms with good views, prime location, excellent food options and a gas station in the immediate vicinity. Extremely close to Kirkjufell. The beds are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are amazing - the water pressure in the showers is perfect! 10/10 stay. This is my 2nd time stopping here, and I will absolutely be back again!

the only thing we didn't like is that in the booking said it has a "kitchenette" we expected to cook something like we did in other places with "kitchenette" but in this case the "kitchenette" only included a microwave, a sink and a kettle, so we couldn't cook anything and somehow that modified our plans because we expected do prepare next day lunch and we couldn't

We had a problem with the shower and tv, both of which were fixed after we called the contact number but it seems both are recurring issues in our particular room so not sure why they haven't just been sorted properly... Also very annoying automatic light in the bathroom which would turn off while in the shower but turn on every time you walked past the door.

Very clean, very comfortable, in centre of town, across road from supermarket and pharmacy. Excellent block out curtains. Spacious bathroom, good kitchenette with chopping board, microwave, bowls and plates. We walked about 30-40 min from the guesthouse carpark to see Kirkjufell mountain and waterfall

NOTHING! Just that we stayed only one night, wanted more

What can i say, the BEST hotel we have been during our Ring road drive/trip. Room was very big, clean, had ALL like ALL possible facilities, the bed was very comfortable, they even had a PC in the "lobby" that anybody can use. When we'll visit Iceland again, only for this hotel we'll drive the road, absolutely fantastic.

- The shower is on an elevated platform that presents a trip hazard. The flooring is seamless and if you are not careful, you could trip and fall down (especially elderly people should be careful). I would recommend the property owner to see if they mitigate this somehow - The payment integration with booking platform has some quirks. It was only this hotel that had an issue. While you can make payment onsite during business hours, I recommend the property to work with booking.com and make the payment seamless as possible Both the items above are only minor issues and is reflected in my score appropriately. Great property and I will stay here again if the opportunity arises. Excellent value.

Wonderful stay in a wonderful city. A chic hostel, the room is very clean, fragrant. The beds are comfortable, the room is huge, the bathroom is also very large. There is a beautiful terrace for drinking coffee, with a view of Kirkjufell mountain. Our room windows also faced Kirkjufell mountain. The room had a small kitchenette, but everything was enough for us. Grundarfjörður is a wonderful town, we are very happy with both the accommodation and the town.

I booked 8 hotels for my trip to Iceland, this one definitely is the best in all aspects, especially for the price/quality ratio. Check in procedure was easy, instructions are clear. Parking is easy. Unit is roomy and comfortable. Area is nice, good restaurants are in walking distance. Thanks!!!

Everything was perfect!

By far the cutest place we stayed at during our one week trip in Iceland. The room was more like a small but spacious apartment as it had the bedroom area, kitchen area and also very big bathroom. In addition it was located next to the main road so no detours were needed plus it had a lovely view to the mountains and the ocean.

Perfect location for exploring Snaefellsnes Peninsula and village was lovely. Really quiet, warm, clean room with comfy bed and everything you need to prepare own meals (microwave, fridge, crockery etc)

Spacious room with own bathroom. Well equipped and clean. Great view to the hill Kirkjufell and the sea - amazing sunsets. In addition to that, there is also the option to use a communal corner balcony with similar views (may be interesting if your room is located on another side of the house). Cafes and supermarket in short walking distance. Grundarfjördur is well situated to explore Snaefellsness peninsula.

Helgrindur guest house was large, clean and well equipped. Check-in was easy and communication with the staff was quick. It's perfectly located on the peninsula close to all the beauty and attractions that we wanted to see. There were restaurants and stores very close by. We'd highly recommend it.
