Was very tough using the freezer for my meds because it hadn't been defrosted in a long time. Would be quick and easy to fix for the next guest.

Supremely peaceful location, quiet, yet not far from town. We appreciated having someone come over and show us how to lock the door, as we couldn't figure it out! There was a large selection of condiments. We're not dog lovers, but ti was hard to ignore the dog who seemed to have adopted us.

We rented two bungalows and in one there was coffee and tea but in the other there wasn’t (not a big deal honestly).

Stunning place in such a wonderful location. The place has huge windows so you can enjoy the view from the inside. Very clean and very peaceful and quiet. The photos don’t do it justice, it’s better than the photos. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and utensils. Lara was super helpful and accommodating!

The cabin is located on a peaceful little lake, near the Helgafell mountain, which takes 15 minutes to walk up to the top for a great view! Located 5-minute drive from the nearest town that has gas stations, grocery store, etc. The cabin was fully equipped for cooking - very comfortable and modern. We really enjoyed it!

Great accommodation with a lovely view. The only problem for us was the small insects (midges), so we couldn't spend any time outside. In the morning, we were welcomed by sheeps and a dog.

It felt very private with just 3 cabins overlooking the lake. There was a lovely dog (Moli) present that escorted us on our short walk up Helgafell. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here!

The location was remote, but that is what we were looking for. We stayed for 2 nights and used it as a base camp to explore the peninsula. There was a grocery store close, so definitely get food before you settle in for the evening. It was a hidden gem.

The stay was even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The accommodation was clean and spacious enough. We really enjoyed our time here; this is also the place where we had the best view of the Northern Lights. Communication with the host went smoothly, and they were very friendly. Definitely a great place to add to your road trip!

Small and nice house (3 houses in a row), clean and weel equipped... comfy beds... Didn't meet the host, but they are replying really fast, so no issue there... Only downside is crazy noise in the house if it is windy (and it is heavy wind in winter months), the house is squiqing,cracking sounds,, rattling, etc.and it is hard to sleep with that noise...

The locatioan at the lake is just beautiful. When there is no wind it is so peacefully quiet and you can really enjoy nature. If you need to buy sone groceries there is the really nice city Stykkisholmur just 10mins away where you can get everything you need and also dine really nice. Other than that the house is really clean and offers everything you need if you also want to cool by yourself.

Amazing cabin in beautiful location. There are only 3 cabins set up in this location next to a small lake in front, the place is very peaceful and serene. Our cabin has everything we needed to cook a delicious meal after our long day of exploring; the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The home was tastefully decorated and the owner was very friendly . We loved everything about our stay here and would definitely return!
