Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandThe capsules don’t insulate the noises at all and one can hear them opening and closing whenever anyone enters or leaves theirs
Easy self check in system, plenty of bathrooms, kitchen and a terrace.

United StatesThe bathrooms (9 in total) were all weirdly taken at 7:30 am-8:00 am in the morning. I looked, and not all rooms had lights on through the under-door crack. That led me to think that some rooms were purposely kept locked and unused? I had to wait 15 minutes to use the restroom in the morning, and it was not very busy at all. So, if this is the case, that would be very inefficient.
1. The check-in process was very easy. The owners sent out a very specific instruction the morning of, and I easily found my way to the hotel and retrieved the key card to our pod. 2. The pod is very spacious and easily fits your backpacks/tote bags, i.e., non-luggage items. The technology is also very cool, allowing you to control lights and locking mechanisms from inside the pod. The temperature felt just right, never too cool or too hot. 3. GUEST PARKING is the public parking lot on the street right next to the hotel. 1-2 minute walk. Free overnight. Very convenient. 4. The kitchen is large, clean, and very organized. They have a large walk-in fridge, and everyone who wants to put food in the fridge gets their own individually labeled basket. 5. Nice recreational spaces and ample room to put your carry-ons and checked bags.

United KingdomThe one gripe I have is that the pods are not soundproof; really important detail that I thought they would cut out extraneous noise. They don't. Privacy is fine and the general facilities are great - Really good.
The location was superb. The facilities themselves are quite snazzy and have a modern feel. I was genuinely looking forward to the 'pod' experience.

SwitzerlandHost is quite unfriendly especially if you are around during the night. Kicked us out of the common area immediately after 22:00, which was his right of course, but in an unnecessarily aggressive way in our opinion. Also when I came back in the night he wanted to know which was my capsule in an accusatory way while I was just walking back to my pod quietly. Happened the same to my friend. I guess they must have a lot of bad experiences with the night life, but we found the behaviour a bit unnecessary.
Capsules are comfortable, cool, and provide more privacy than standard hostels (not so much for noise though) The rest pf the hostel is very good too, nice shared areas, kitchen, clean showers and bathrooms

RomaniaThe quiet hours are ignored and it was always noisy. The capsule was a big disappointment, all plastic and creaking at evey move. We could hear every noise from the capsule above or near us. The fan inside is also very noisy and overall the capsule is not soundproof at all. TV and USB ports are almost useless.
The location is perfect, right in the city center. Great for big groups, especially teenagers. The bathrooms are ok and have showers, there is a large and nice breakfast/dining area and also a kitchen with all that you might need.

United StatesThe owner is way too nice, there was a group about 40 of them, no lie, of French kids that stayed and didn't follow any of the rules posted everywhere. They spoke English but refuse to stay quiet during quiet hours. They kept everyone up till 2am, just talking and playing near the sleeping capsules. They flooded the showers, and left it in a mess. The experience of the hostel was very nice and relaxing until those kids showed up. They took up three of the big tables in the kitchen hall, and were loud and obnoxious. The kitchen closed at ten and they would start making dinner at 930pm. Smh. It was terrible.
The capsule is nice. There is a charger in there, a little tv and headphones. They have a shared kitchen, a little coffee station and a living room.

United StatesOnly thing I didn't like was the only way to get up to the hostel was the stairs. As I have a problem with my hip it was very hard to get my luggage up and down the stairs
The common room was very nice and is very big. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was nice. It was my 1st time actually using a kitchen at a hostel. Loved the pods as they gave great privacy. It was in a great location and the staff was very helpful

SwitzerlandThe beds/capsules are not really comfortable, there is no way to store your luggage safely during the night. The staff that I had to call multiple times because of unclear instructions was really rude and quite unhelpful.
The facilities are really ice and it’s well located.

United StatesCharging 1000 ISK for a towel sucks. Like I’d get if you wanted an extra one for something, but it seems on par with how nickel and dime-y Iceland has become. We had some hostel mates who weren’t super respectful of the kitchen or shared space. Not the property’s fault, but in general in Iceland you find people staying in hostels who wouldn’t normally use them, and don’t know how to share space well.
The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is big enough to accommodate a lot of people. The staff is also really friendly and helpful.

ItalyNothing specifically. Maybe it would be nice to have a bigger storage for the luggage.
An experience never tried before (to sleep in a capsule). The bed was quite comfortable and also the bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was well equipped (with all you may need for cooking), with also a fridge room.

United KingdomThe lighting within the pods is blue I would prefer a soft yellow or white lighting and the fan included as part of the capsule is so underpowered and it was slightly uncomfortable within the pod (although not enough to interfere with my sleep and it was unusually warm while I was in Iceland). The street parking Infront of the hostel is now closed off so parking is now a short walk (<5mins) and you can park for free between 16:00 and 10:00 which was fine for me as I was out exploring between those times
The self check in was easy and the video explaining the use of the capsules gave all the information you needed. The common rooms and kitchen were very clean and comfortable to hand out with with even a small games room available until 22:00 and very quiet when I was there. It's also well located with plenty of places to head out to after a busy day exploring. Overall perfectly happy with my choice to stay here.
