Great self contained apartment. Decent sized rooms and decent cooking facilities.

Need better instructions to find the apartment. Could find the guesthouse but this apartment was just down the road. Luckily someone was able to point us in the right direction.

The size of apartment. The location.

The bed linens were not clean. The bathroom was moldy and the smell was so strong it affected my breathing. The shower would not drain. It had old soaps in it from previous guests. The door was nasty. We had asked for extra pillows and a fan and were told they would be provided and they were not. The heat was not working and it was 43 degrees Fahrenheit. We asked for help and ultimately the person said they were out of town and if we wanted plug in heaters that we could go to some strangers house and collect them because they had no way to get them to us. We signed up for breakfast and it looked like leftovers with some little bits of cold food…cereal, toast, yogurt. There was not one warm or hot item and it cost $130 for four adults a child.

Very friendly staff; large and comfortable room; good breakfast. Convenient location and not too touristy. Nice little black sand beach right out the front door.

The stairs were a bit scary and hard to navigate. Would be impossible for people with disabilities.

There was a red-head girl with curly hair. She was so amazingly sweet and friendly and helpful. The house exceeded my expectations big time. So home-like, old-fashioned, retro, but sweet, clean, comfy and unique. So much attention was given to small details and aesthetics. Suitable for those who wish to experience a local Islandic home that has preserved its essence over the decades. Our room was so beautiful and bed so comfortable. Sheets were very soft. It was right next to ocean in a small town.

Good price on the accommodation. Apparently we were not considered for breakfast even if we asked beforehand and got confirmed for it, when we came down there was no breakfast but the girl went out of her way to get something for us. Cudos for her.

We felt breakfast was not worth the money or the fuzz. Not the girls fault but next time we will skip breakfast and go over to the hotel next door for one. Beds are not the best and in this very old house the steps are very steep and not for legless people like us.

All staff I met where very friendly and helpful.

Would have liked a privet bathroom, but I knew it was not included so I accepted it.

It was in a good location, clean, and had good shared bathrooms with hot water and good water pressure.

The room heater was turned on so hot and the windows barely opened to let in cool air. The owner told us we could use the kitchen but when we got there he had told the staff that we couldn’t. They tried to amend us with allowing us use of the outside grill, but we felt unwelcome so we made other plans.

The location was fantastic - especially if you love birdwatching

Hard to find anything that needs to be improved

Good bed, easy check in and check out. Well situated, nice view to the sea. Very clean.

There was a bad smell in my room nr.8 Don’t know what kind, a bit similar to what you find in a dentist praxis so maybe strong cleaning odor or something but not very pleasant.

We were there in the off season so the restaurant was closed, but the host was very friendly and helpful. Clean larger room with the bathroom across the hall. Tea and biscuits available in the kitchen.

No access to a refrigerator/freezer in our building.

It was not possible to turn on the heat in most places, which made the room so cold, that it was not fun being there and sleep there. It was a shame, since the appartement had everything we needed

The room was comfortable and clean.

The water in the bathroom had a strong sulfur smell, like eggs, and it turned my silver jewellery dark.

The staff was very friendly, and let me leave my luggage for a few hours while I explored the town before I left. The place is right on the water with a view over the fjord.

I thought I had booked a double bed, but that is only in the appartments. Also, as I was traveling by bus, it was a bit of a hike to the busstop.

Nice location next to the sea. Quick reaction of owners during late booking.

Unfortunately, kitchen is not part of accommodation. So the photos are misleading. We arrived late for the accommodation and could not eat. The whole house can feel the unpleasant smell of the kitchen
