Maybe a sign on the road showing towards the house would be good, but if you follow the coordinates and the message, you should be fine, it is not that hidden

Our stay was absolutely perfect—better than we could have imagined, and even better than the pictures! Communication with Gudmundur was seamless; he was incredibly responsive and eager to assist with any questions we had. The house was easy to find by following Gudmundur's detailed directions, and its location is ideal for exploring the south of Iceland. The house itself was spacious and comfortable, easily accommodating our group of seven with plenty of room to spare. Everything was spotless—the bathrooms, bed linens, and kitchen utensils were all impeccably clean. The true highlight of our stay was the natural thermal creek right by the house. It was such a unique and relaxing experience, and my friends and I made it a nightly ritual to soak in its warm waters under the Icelandic sky. Just a word of caution: the creek can get quite hot at times, so be mindful! The views from the house are breathtaking, especially when you lay in the hot tub and there's a herd of horses running in front of you on sunset and mountains background. Overall, this was an unforgettable stay, and I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you, Gudmundur, for making our trip so special! Next time we visit Iceland, we'll definitely book this house again.

The aurora didn’t put in an appearance during our 4 nights 😊

The location is spectacular. Wonderful views of the river, mountains and a gorgeous thermal stream to the side of the property. Wonderful panoramic views form the inside of the lodge. The beds are super large and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with herbs and spices to hand. The hot tub was hot and well used each evening.

You stay in really beatiful nature and near the river (and also a hot creek) so count on it and don't forget to bring something against mosquitos and other flying insect with you =).

Very spacious, clean and well equiped lodge with large and comfortable beds in 5 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms are available, one with a bath, second with a shower. And the bath tub with hot water on the terrace with nice mountain views was simply amazing. Wifi was very good.

The thermostat in the hot tube needs to be replaced.

It was our best overnight stay in Iceland. The house was clean, huge, the area around the house was very large and well-kept. It's a pity that we discovered a place for a bonfire at the very end 😊 The house is very comfortable, everyone could find their own place if they wanted to relax. Getting there wasn't that difficult either, despite the ice on the road. All equipment was functional. We even had a vacuum cleaner to keep it clean. Warm water, good pressure. Only at some points the water in the hot tube was cold. It seems to me that the thermostat needs repair or complete replacement. The heating of the house was very efficient. Towels and bedding clean! We could use the washing machine where we washed them on a regular basis. We used the grill, oven, and coffee machine (sorry, we forgot to remove the grounds from the tank at the end☹) An amazing surprise was the warm river that connected with a large river. It was another atmospheric place to warm up during the day. The place is perfect for watching the aurora borealis We already know that we will definitely come back to this place 😊

The keychain could be more visible. We dropped it in the snow and it took a while to find them out again. There could be two bathing towels each (there were 6 of us so the 10 towels werent enough for everyone (1 for bathing, 1 for hot tub)). We couldn't figure out how to lock the doors.

Views were amazing. Night sky was dark and we could see auroras when not cloudy without any light noise. The hot tub was very nice, and the view to the riverside was also very pleasent. The house was very spacious and the kitchen was very well equipped.

too many light switches in the kitchen. not a huge thing. but you need to use them to understand them.

tranquil and relaxing. the property was perfect all round. the two living room spaces was great as well. this is a location I would visit again.

Needs a book of instructions in English for operating hot tub, door locks; plus suggestions for dining out, shopping for necessities, nearby tourist sights. Kitchen needs upgraded cookware and utensils, like fry pan, spatula.

Spacious and very comfortable. Warm and cozy. Terrific views. Rushing sound of hot stream very pleasant to listen to. Hot tub a delight especially on cold evenings. Large windows magnificent for watching northern lights. Owner very responsive to maintenance needs, which were minor. House provided nice privacy for two couples. Kitchen was well supplied with seasonings, spices. Nearby dining was excellent: Mika, Fridhaemar, Efstidalur. This house is a great central location for visiting Golden Circle highlights like Geysir, Gullfoss, Secret Lagoon, Thingvellir.

the amazing place... the hot tub. the hot stream just next to the house. the glass windows. the bbq. we loved this great villa. a lot of room for a group of 10 and well equipped kitchen

Impossible to find. Impassable driveway. Poorly equipped kitchen. Snow on decks. Hot tub not filled. No dryer as stated. Few linens.

Minor points - only 5 mugs despite 8 person party which was a little annoying. Also more pillows on beds please! Only one each! Directions for arriving could also be clearer.

Large lodge with plenty of space for 8 people. Great location in central golden circle area close to attractions. Beautiful spot by the river and lovely views.
