I booked this vacation late and it was high season....so I had limited availability. That forced me to spend WAY more money then I ever would have normally in a couple areas that were popular tourist areas. This King suite was one. But I have to say that when I compare a couple others that I ended up spending EVEN MORE this was the nicest room and view even though it was well out of my normal price range.

The staff were very friendly and helpful (holding and opening door! when we had our luggage!). Breakfast was one of our best on our 12 day trip. Food at the restaurant was delicious for dinner as well. We had an amazing view of the falls because we were in the king suite....which was an awesome room. And just as we were having a glass of wine and about to order dinner I looked out the window at the view thinking it couldn't get better, but it did!! About 25-30 Icelandic horses were being driven/herded across the little pedestrian bridge right in front of the hotel! I ran out the front door to get amazing video and experience it close up. We loved this place!

Underfloor heating made rooms too hot but staff kindly reduced the heat in our room. Would definitely stay here again. Our favourite accommodation along route one

Set off early so did not have breakfast which was from 8am. The setting is spectacular scenery and peaceful. There is Wi-Fi at the accommodation which was a bonus. Staff extremely helpful and polite. Food delicious evening meal and not expensive

Our room was dark and cramped, and in the basement.

Very friendly, helpful staff. It was a stone's throw from the falls. Dinner was tasty. I was happy to have a small heater to put in the bathroom for the morning.

Very good breakfast which we booked on arrival and super friendly staff with some good advice on nearby spots to visit. We had a room in a separate building right next to the main building. We were absolutely satisfied with the room and everything in general, especially the close location to Godafoss which allowed for a late night and early morning visit without any other tourists around. Also the dinner options at the restaurant were great. Strong recommendation!

We loved everything about our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding and a great value (for Iceland), the room was absolutely beautiful, the location next to the falls was unforgettable! We wished we had stayed longer. This was our favorite place out of a 15 day trip!

Better curtains needed on door and window for black out in summer.

Excellent location, could walk to the waterfall in the morning before it was busy but also in the evening when it was quiet. Upgraded and was out in one of the cabins which was spacious. Restaurant available for the evening, along with a small bar.

The location was brilliant for Godafoss, the on-site restaurant is quick and food delicious.The rooms are basic but provide everything we needed. I don't think we could have done any better for the money I paid.

Good comfort, friendly staff, very well located. Parking right at the door. Friendly atmosphere We missed a secretary and the lavatory was really small. The photos lead us to believe that we stayed in the main building, but we were later placed in an annex.

Location was excellent, right across from the popular Godafoss waterfalls! Price of $265 was not bad for a last minute booking a few hours earlier for a triple bed room. Staff was excellent and kind! I'd recommend booking this hotel for anybody looking to stay around this area.

The only issue we had with our room heat was addressed quickly by the staff. Everything was virtually perfect.

Amazing location AT the Godafoss waterfalls. Fantastic international staff provided very friendly & memorable service. Great food at both the optional breakfast buffet & from the limited but very delicious dinner menu. Considering the absurdly expensive cost for virtually everything in Iceland, the breakfast buffet cost was one of best in-country values during our almost 3 week touring visit.

The room was a bit noisy, I could hear everything that was happening outside the room so assume people can also hear what happens inside the room. The breakfast starts at 8.00 am, that is a bit late if you want to do a organised tour in Akureyri or Husavik but the staff told me they would take a look at that and that they might offer the possibility for a breakfast package so that prooves they are always willing to find a solution.

The staff was very nice, they definately treat you as a special guest and know what good service is. The breakfast buffet is one of the better ones in Iceland! It's nice they have a small menu so you can grab a bite in the hotel but it's not divers enough for several days. The hotel is almost exactly inbetween of Akureyri and Husavik what makes it a good location for whale watchers. The beds are good and the shower is perfect!
