How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bathroom was very modern, but the open shower not so functional. The water would not drain quickly enough and as there was no divider, the bathroom floor would quickly get flooded. When someone in the hotel turned on the shower, there was a loud clanging sound in our room.
Room was very spacious, close to the airport, but quiet (no noise from planes or cars). Modern furniture, clean spaces, and a big smart tv to watch a movie. A small breakfast was provided.

The room was very hot - the thermostat set point was 19C but the temperature got the room was 31C (88F). I do not think it was actually 88F in the room but it was at least 25/26C (78F). We opened the door and windows and that made it tolerable but gradually heated back up again over the night. I think the thermostat was actually broken - I didn’t believe it was 31C and it seemed to ignore the set point that we put into it. The room was very small. I knew this going in - it’s in the name - but still my wife and I couldn’t open our suitcases at the same time. We had the unit next to the street and the street noise was loud - the units away from the street would have been better.
The beds were super comfortable. The room was very clean. The light breakfast in the refrigerator was perfect for my wife and I. The bathroom was great and the shower in particular was really good. The location was great - there were restaurants all around and there was a 24 hour market close by. There was also a nice shore walking path that stayed close to the hotel.

Beds very comfortable. Staff was incredible! Room was super clean. 10 minute ride to the airport! Keflavik is a very nice city. A great stay! Heated bathroom floor and exceptional shower!

Good Location Close to airport. Take the 55 bus ($5), get off at 3rd stop and walk 5 minutes. Easy self check in, clean and some welcome complimentary snacks in the mini fridge. Room was small but adequate for a couple with carry-on luggage. If you have a bunch of big suitcases it would be difficult.

Perfectly located near Keflavik Airport—just a short drive away—and surprisingly serene. The town center is easily walkable, with charming shops, cafés, and restaurants right by the coast. The peaceful coastal setting really added to the relaxing vibe.

Lives up to the name, Micro. Small for two people with luggage.
Functional and close to the airport. Modern WC and nice shower. Small fridge is handy and includes some yogurt, fruit, and juice. Close to walking paths next to the coast. Restaurants just down the street.

The room is WAY too warm. The thermostat doesn't do anything, the radiator was on and stuck on setting 8. As well the price is high, considering thr size of the room.

The sink stopper didn’t work, making my morning shave clumsy. The curtains didn’t fully darken the room so the room was rather light at midnite (near the solstice)
We received what I expected. The “micro” suite was modestly sized and clean. The hot water was very hot. We heard no street or other outside noise overnight
