We are a family of four but had to rent two separate cabins. I stayed with my daughter, and our cabin was perfect for two but did not have kitchen facilities. My husband stayed with our son in a different cabin (not near us)🤷🏻‍♀️ and their cabin could have housed all four of us, but the company would not allow four people in a cabin. Maybe it’s some type of Icelandic code?? Their cabin was rustic but much nicer than ours and had kitchen facilities. The hotel breakfast is part of the package, and it was the best breakfast we had on the trip! Excellent food and friendly staff. Beautiful setting!

The property is old and does require renovation, at least in the bathrooms. Linoleum floors in the shower is not what anyone would expect in 2025

The bungalows are tiny and there isn't a ton of space for luggage, toiletries, etc, plus the shower space is very tight. It was fine for a night though.

The bungalows are right next to Hotel Laki and you have full access to the hotel amenities as well which is really nice. There is a great bar area where you can sit and enjoy a drink with beautiful views. The property also has a bunch of history and there is a map that shows you places to go and explore and tells the history of each place which we loved. After breakfast, we went for a long walk through their trails and it was so peaceful and beautiful. They also have friendly horses on the property which will come right up to you and our kids loved that.

Overall this was a great stay. The cabins are tiny and very simple, and it felt a bit like camping but that was fine! They were clean and the shower was hot. The wi-fi worked. There was a little coffee maker on a little shelf on the wall over one of the beds which was a little odd and difficult to actually use. The cabins are actually on the property of the Hotel Laki, and breakfast was there -- possibly the best breakfast of our trip! Also the hotel was able to do laundry for us -- $30 for a bag, but by this point we REALLY needed laundry done. We stayed one night and it was ready for the morning before we left.

The bungalows definitely need some renovation, and we also found mold in the bathroom.

Breakfast was really good, definitely the best one comparing to other hotels we stayed in. Location is great - peaceful and quite, we spotted Norther lights as well.

Location and view were lovely, and we were upgraded to a hotel room. All staff very friendly and enjoyed a nice chat in the bar with staff interested in our travels. Very comfortable accommodation and great restaurant for dinner.

Shower... needs a floor barrier to prevent water spread. There is plenty of parking available for this location which is not clearly stated.

I didn't like that was no WiFi in the bungalow. There was WiFi in the hotel, but it didn't reach us. Looking back at the listing, WiFi wasn't mentioned and I guess I assumed.

However, the price is on the expensive side. Overall, it's a fantastic choice for a relaxing getaway if you're willing to spend a little extra!

I recently stayed at this lovely bungalow and found it incredibly cozy, with all the necessary accessories for a comfortable stay. The very nice reception made us feel welcome right from the start. Breakfast was included, which was a great touch, and the location in nature, near a beautiful lake, was perfect for peaceful walks.

Bungalow was older but well maintained and very warm. Breakfast was at the adjacent Hotel Laki, but large with plenty of options.
