It would be nice if they offered a microwave or some basic kitchen equipment.

It was an old house renovated into a modern one. I liked the antique wooden scent combined with the modern look of the second-floor bathroom. Everybody had a great sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The room was perfect for three people — very clean, comfortable, and the bathroom was absolutely beautiful. The host was very kind and went out of his way to provide us with forks, spoons, and a can opener so we could have our meal in the room. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness and hospitality. Would definitely recommend this place!

The place was amazing! Such a beautiful b&b. The room was big, spacious and beautifully decorated. The host was so sweet! We ended up adding on breakfast and he made us the best breakfast layout. Great location and very clean! Also the room had black out shades that helped with the light summer nights.

Honestly, this is the best room I have ever stayed in. Cozy with a soft bed, two windows. But most importantly: there was a PIANO in the room! My heart melted. I promise to come back if I am in these places again.

Locate in relatively high area of the city, 10min walk to city centre. All facilities were clean and sufficient, there were heaters both in the bathroom and in the bedroom. Easy and simple checkin and checkout process, love the efficiency.

An Icelandic house converted into a guesthouse I was lucky enough to have the ground floor room which was both very light and very convenient. Very comfy bed and I borrowed a suitable chair to sit at the desk available to use my computer. Very close to all amenities but quiet and well furnished. My flight was delayed and Gisli kindly came to pick me up from the airport and book me in for an extra night at a reduced fee.

If I had to find a “negative thing” it would be the shower curtain that didn’t close very well and it kept on sticking onto our wet legs.

The self service check-in and out is very convenient. There’s also a reception area but we didn’t meet anyone of the staff in our stay. Anyway they always respond via booking and they’re always willing to help. The accommodation in Akureyri is up on a very slope road and on the day we stayed in the city it was snowing so the road was also slippery. We recommend people to drive very carefully and use a 4x4 car with appropriate winter tires. There are multiple parking spots nearby. The room was on the first floor and it was a bit difficult to carry our heavy luggage. The room was by far the best one we’ve booked in our trip in Iceland. It was very spacious, the bed was big, it had different windows so natural light could pass through, the host provided us fresh towels, sheets, there was a hairdryer and a mini fridge as well. The bathroom was amazing, it felt luxurious. It had a tub big enough to fit 2 people, a small shower and a little balcony with a nice view of the streets and trees covered in snow. Easy to hear movements outside including the using of water kettle. Nightstands are shaped round, making charging cables easy to slide off.

Great location with easy free parking with such a price. Clean and comfy beddings in hotel quality. Spacious bedroom and toilet, allowing two big suitcases to be opened while having place to walk around. Friendly host, always available. Beautiful wooden staircase.

The house is beautiful and in a really good location. Our room was spacious, including the private bathroom. The room also had a mini-fridge and a table for two. We loved the art on the walls, and the owner was really nice and gave us tips about the nearby sights and also talked about the history of the city. Everything was really clean and comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights, and were really happy with the accommodation!
