It was all fine.

Breakfast was very good, meaning that we only needed a filled baguette for lunch. The guest kitchen was well equipped and had tables to sit at (as did our room if we wanted to). The nearby Bonus supermarket (4 minute stroll) provided us with baguettes and good quality ready meals (some of them traditional Icelandic). This combination was a great money saver for us (restaurants are very expensive in Reykjavic, and you have to walk to them after a full on day). You could easily cook a full meal if you had the energy after a full day out. The hotel was very quiet, as was the pleasant surrounding neighbourhood. The lack of a reception was not a difficulty, we were sent our access codes well in time and the system worked. There is a 24h "virtual concierge" service via WhatsApp (which we didn't need), and responses were prompt via the Booking.com app. There are lots of books to borrow in English as well as Icelandic. Only half an hour's walk from the city centre, and just under 15 minutes walk from the nearest tour bus stop (number 12) for excursion pick ups.

Great location. Scrumptious breakfast of meats, cheeses, bread, waffles and fruit. Only negative was WiFi was wonky and I had to login multiple times.

The 'no reception’ concept is disturbing, but you get quickly used to it. No hairdryer in the rooms !

Nice hotel for a short stay. Bus stops, supermarket & bakery not far away. Free coffee station & kitchen available 24h/day.

Bit dated and upon arrival but musky in the hallway from wet carpet near communal toilet/bathroom. Temperature inside is very warm. But the windows could be opened.

Great location, between old city, the shopping centre and botanical Gardens.

Bathroom and shower were shared and fairly clean. However, just a few for the many rooms.

The room we stayed in was big enough and comfy, however very empty. The whole structure is generally very dark, and has a lot of rooms, resulting in a labirintic feeling, sometimes unpleasant. Breakfast wasy very nice, and the staff attentive.Check in was remote with a code.

It was a Little old and some broken things were just fixed with guffer tape. Staff didn’t actually speak English.

Staff couldn't speak much english I often had power outages in my room, the circuit breaker is in another room, so everytime I would have to go out to fix it In the breakfast room they do clean the tables but not as often as they should in my opinion Their booking account got hacked, the days before my stay I kept receiving fraudulent messages from them on booking.com saying that my booking will be cancelled if I don't click on a phishing link to secure my booking. They did warn me of the fraudulent nature of thoses messages but if I hadn't been careful I could have fallen for it

the only thing I mislooked is that there are rooms with shared bathroom and toilets (yes apparently those things still exist!), and unfortunately for me I booked the shared and I was a bit shocked to see I don't have a shower nor toilette in my room.

5 min walk to stay of shopping street which starts at a lovely food Court Hlemmur Mathöll. the hotel is clean, with excellent instructions from owner on how to access the key etc.. common large kitchen and nice breakfast. free coffee in the coridor with pro espresso machine. the kitchen lady kindly packed me a super breakfast as I needed to leave the hotel at 4am to catch the 7.35 iceladair flight, and I'm very grateful!

The Internet wasn’t working and the room was very hot, with no option to adjust the heating. The breakfast was also not replenished on both occasions

Location close to the city center

The location is, i guess, near a neigberhood in development so there was a lot of noise especially in the mornings from construction sites so better check if its done, and its the summer so no real night time so it was a bit difficult to block out the light at night

The hotel in general was very clean including the shared facilities, nice location (about 20 minutes walk from the big tourist spots, very very good braekfast, and i especially liked the coffe machine on the second floor. And If you are a big beer enthusiast there is a very nice brewry down the steet.

No drain in the bathroom and the shower leaks onto floor.

Basic accommodation good for a short stay. The property is tired and could do with some maintenance. Friendly staff.
