Aa product of the water for the entirety of Reykjavík and not just this guesthouse but the water really smells like sulphur.

Comparatively cheap for Reykjavík prices. Conveniently located close to the flybus bus terminal and a short walk to Laugavegur st, one of the main drags in town. We were able to leave our bags at the guesthouse on either side of a 4 day hike which was extremely convenient.

The check in instructions were delivered very late, they did not respond to any of my messages on here. The fire alarm went off while we were sleeping because of someone cooking, and there was a very loud group next door. The quiet hours are not monitored well, we had rough sleep

Comfortable beds. Good location in peaceful part of Reykjavik but still close to the main road. Shared bathroom clean and specious but not to new.

Poor soundproof. Hot water pressure is low. With this price, a shared kitchen was expected but unfortunately it’s not. The staff is always answering promptly.

The shared restroom on our floor had a broken toilet seat, which made it a little uncomfortable to use. The shower also only had body wash, so it was a little odd having to use that for my hair.

The guesthouse is only a 7 minute walk from the Main Street and also pretty close to Hallsgrimskirkja. Made it very convenient to walk to stores/restaurants and back.

The hotel is very well located, few minutes away walking to the city center.

No cups, glasses or anything (in listing it says kitchenette). There is a fridge and a water heater but of limited use without any cups or glasses to drink from.

The toilet seat in the bathroom was broken. The facility doesn’t look like the photos and is a bit more dated, but that’s just me being nit-picky.

The location was excellent, check in instructions were easy and the host had excellent communication.

There is a free parking on the street but you cannot always find a place. No lift. There were no paper towels in the shared bathroom to dry your hands.

The hot tub was 85 degrees F, fairly dirty (easy to tell with no water moving), and had no instructions for turning on the jets. It also smelled like it was due for a serious shock treatment. We spent 20 minutes trying to trouble shoot it and gave up. The room was tiny. There were no minor details to make you think, "Ok. See? They're trying." Ok. Maybe one... A basket of free food in the entry hall from tourists headed for the airport.

Location is really good. The price was, for Iceland, very good. If you go here at the start of a stay from, say, the US or Canada, you're going to be appalled. "$200 a night for THAT!". At the end of your stay, once you've calibrated expectations and a clearer understanding of the dollar's value you'll be saying, "ONLY $200 a night for ALL THAT."

the sink in the bedroom didn’t drain, no extra towels or hand towels, pretty worn down/ bathroom decently but not super clean. Good location. I think I would have been happy with it if it was $100 cheaper, but it was not worth the higher cost

The washbasin attached to the room does not flush and bad smell. The bus tub is outside and looks dirty and very open place so of course no one used it. The owner didn’t message me in advance ( only the same day).

Room and toilets needs some work done. There was one lamp by the bed broken, visible dust layer under the bed. The sink has mixed up cold and warm water- warm water is the one marked as cold and has sulfuric smell to it, don’t drink it! We were very unlucky to share bathroom with some people who left it after themselves like pigs. So going to bathroom was very unpleasant. We even went a floor up, the situation was similar there too. In one of the bathrooms light switch was broken and it looked dangerous to touch it.
