Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesAs you would expect buildings in Iceland are designed to keep the heat in as much as possible. That’s not so ideal in August. To make the room bearable from the heat perspective meant we had to leave a window open which invited the light from the late evening sun and noise from the bars and parks across the street well into the night.

United StatesI had a problem with my reservation (my own fault) which the desk clerk worked to resolve for me. He got it sorted in a few minutes, so I was very grateful. The hotel is lovely, and its location in the very center of town is fantastic. I was traveling alone and felt safe there. It overlooks a park and a café with street seating. The breakfast is expensive at $35, but the quality of the food was very good with smoked fish as an option.

The hotel is the best hotels i stayed during our two-week travel in Iceland. The location is perfect, close to everything. The room is reasonable size, and rather quiet as we were not sure about the noise since there are pubs and restaurants that are surrounding the hotel. But the staff are very friendly and accommodating our requests. We didn't have breakfast due to early check out.

Very happy with breakfast, cleanliness, decor etc. My only advice is that the restaurant is thunderingly noisy, so do not plan to use it unless you're under 20! Make sure your room is not on that side of the building. Also the rooms seem generally to be on the small side, especially the single room which is very tight indeed.
