The sound insulation is relatively poor. We could hear noise from another room.

The bedroom windows faced the parking lot of the pizza place, which was quite busy and kept us awake at night.

The living room was spacious and the kitchen well furnhished.

10 out of 10! You are middle of the city, but have the feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere! Amazing interior, super cozy inside and outside! There is a really fancy barbecue that we used a lot. There is a whole laundry room where you can wash and dry your clothes. I definitely recommend.

We had a very good stay at this cottage. The cottage is in the middle of the town, a 5min drive from the restaurants area and 2min drive from a Bonus supermarket. We stayed a family of 4. The cottage is ample with two bunk-bed rooms and an attic with two single beds. The kitchen and living room spaces are comfortable and there is a private deck with a grill. Check-in was easy (door code) and the parking was easy right behind the cottage. This is a place where we could have comfortably stayed multiple nights, but only needed one.

These cottages are so pretty and comfortable! We loved the feeling of the house, it is very beautiful. The shower was warm and the location excellent. Parking very close and free.

2 bedrooms downstair are small, one of them so small that we cannot open our luggages but have some space in front the room under the stair. A bedroom upstair has more space but stair is too narrow to bring luggage up there. Because of its wooden house so it can make noise when walking.

House and beds are cozy and comfortable, living room is big enough for 6 ppl, kitchen size is ok. Very close to supermarket.

No impressive views outside, but they are at waling distance.

Very well equiped comfortable cottage with washing and drying machines, perfect halfway our Island tour👍 Waling distance to shops, restaurants, very nice botanic gardens and thermal pool at close-by drive distance. Situated next to main street which at arrival may give bad impression, but once there you appreciate it.

The number key for check in appears to be a little glitchy - we got locked out a couple times despite entering the code correctly. The cottage was also quite hot and took a while to cool down - it would have been great to have screens on the windows to prevent bugs from getting in while allowing some fresh air.

Akureyri Cottages was a little smaller than we were expecting for 4 adults (mainly the kitchen and common area), but was still quite comfortable and very clean. The location was quite convenient and the instructions for check in were very clear. We appreciated the discount at a local bakery as well!

Even though we did not meet the host face to face but the host was so helpful. We were stuck in a snow storm and was asking if we are able to extend our stay (in case) and the host was more than happy to assist. The house was beautiful inside out and spacious.
