Nettle & Fern is an excellent hotel with an in-house restaurant. It is centrally located in a quiet area and a 25 minute walk from MG Marg. There is a taxi stand right outside and a cafe next door. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy; breakfast was basic but good. The staff are courteous, kind and helpful, especially Dhiren, Rishi and Binod.

Heating plates in the room, breakfast spread, service of the staff, provided breakfast for leaving early morning, location - saved us plenty of money and most cab drivers live nearby, closeness to mg road but not crowded even during Christmas

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional. They were incredibly courteous and attentive, ensuring everything was taken care of. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with most of the essential amenities. What truly stood out was their thoughtful gesture of packing complimentary breakfast for us, as we had an early 6 AM checkout—a service that many hotels don't typically provide. This level of care and consideration makes it a place I would highly recommend.

The bed was a little hard.

Highly recommend Nettle and Fern! We had an amazing stay here! Rooms were very clean and comfortable with good hot water in the shower! Staff were very kind and helpful! Breakfast buffet was really good too - coffee/tea, omelette, toast, and Indian breakfast options too! We were here during Diwali and the hotel staff involved us in the celebrations and made for an extra special stay. Thanks!

A few things that I did not like: The wifi network was slower than my mobile network. Had to call two three times to order food as the Restaurant never picked up. Most of the plug points did not work. The hair dryer did not work as well.

We loved the view from the terrace as well as the room size. The facilities provided in the room is quite good. Toiletries were provided. The rooms were clean. The food was good as well. Staffs were helpful.

Toilet was a little too cramped, no place for clothes. Hot water got cut off abruptly when bathing during the 2 days out of 3 days.

Room was big and comfortable for a couple. Staff were extremely kind and gave us a free upgraded room. Hotel location was walkable distance to MG Marg.

It is located at the end of a steep sloping road which is difficult to walk up.

Decent Hotel with good amenities. Also, good amenable staff. The Manager was very helpful too. Best of all, the view from the mountain facing room was awesome. We could see Gangtok city on one side and the clouds beneath the faraway mountain. Awesome views. in day and night too!

Bed linen quality needs to improve.

Valley facing Deluxe room was decent. Good valley view. Very nice & helpful Staff. ... special mention of Mr. Bishal Gurung, who helped with planning of trip and local travel support. Bebinca and dhiren also helped during our stay. Restaurant ambience and food quality is great. Bakery shop is wonderful. Breakfast spread though limited but was sufficient. Bathroom, though small but with nice Fitting and workability.

Spic Clean Hotel with Exceptionally Curtious and helpful Staff. Special Thanks to Mr. Bishal Gurung for all his help and inputs towards planning of trip and arranging for good travel support. We stayed in suite room with exceptional mountain / valley view. Room decor, space and everything else was perfect. Bathroom, bit small but with modern Fittings and everything working perfectly and nice warm water. Food in the restaurant is very good, Breakfast though may be a small spread is sufficient and very well prepared. Stuff of their bakery shop is so delicious. All other team members like Ms. Begin a, Mr. Dhiren and entire team is always smiling & welcoming. Overall a great experience.

Though the bathrooms were neat and clean with hot water facility it was too small… the hotel becomes noisy if there is a large group and and rooms are not very sound proof that way…

The property was located close to MG Road, so walking to MG Road was possible, you can also take shared cabs for Rs. 20 per person. Valley facing rooms are fantastic… we stayed in the family suit
