How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA family-run oasis in the centre of Jaipur, perfect location, and nice old indian style furniture in the rooms.
Nothine notable, breakfast could have had a little more sweet options but really it was just a personal preference. Everything they prepared was fresh and delicious.

Verified reviewVery nice and comfortable stay. We had a quiet and spacious room nicely decorated and equipped with vintage furniture. The place also has a big garden with peacocks roaming around and it is located in a very quiet part of the neighborhood well away from the main roads. Tuk-tuk ride takes approx. 10-15 minutes to the pink city. Breakfasts are buffet-style with some tasty Indian options. You can also have lunch or dinner there - delicious!

Verified reviewThe hotel is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, the garden area is a good place to relax away from the noise of the city. Very good complimentary breakfast, good evening meals too. Owners are knowledgeable about the city and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewWe enjoyed our stay very much :) The room and bathroom have good size and were very clean. Bed comfortable. Amenities included. Daily cleanup optional. The garden is absolutely beautiful and very well taken care of. Breakfast is yummy. You can have it on the terrace. In general, you can sit on the terrace or in the garden and just relax outdoors which we found very nice. Laundry service is a plus. Location good too. Couple of steps away from the main road therefore quiet and in a street with other well-maintained houses. Payment by card possible. We would visit again!

Verified reviewWe enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. The hotel has heritage feel with a lot of regional furniture. The guest rooms entrances are going out to terraced walkways with a lot of comfy places to sit. The building construction works great in the Indian climate. It gives choice of using shade and natural ventilation or air conditioning as one prefers. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The street in front of the hotel is exeptionally quiet for a city in india. The hotel is family run and the staff is very attentive. The food offered is lovely, there is a lot of choice and it is very reasonably priced. Being in a quiet street it still takes just a very short walk to metro and bus station with a lot of rickshaws. We also enjoyed watching the peacocks roaming in the hotel garden.
We liked absolutely everything about the hotel. Regarding Jaipur we found some Uber taxis to be scam and some Ola rickshaw scam too. Beware.

Verified reviewThe Homestay is perfectly situated in a lovely area and not too far for sightseeing. It’s lovely and clean and in the afternoon there’s lots to see … horses ( from Jaipur police force ) just relaxing in a paddock , some monkeys and peacocks The people here are just lovely and very very helpful
Somewhere to keep water cold would be lovely and maybe more complimentary water
Thank you for the review. We appreciate the same. We do have mini bars in the super deluxe and family rooms. We are sorry we are unable to provide mini bars in standard rooms during to space crunch.

Verified reviewSuper nice host and service, quietly located family run home away from home. Everything is excellent: service, building, environment, breakfast, dinner, room, everything. A higher shower wall would be the only imaginable improvement.

Verified reviewThe house looks just as beautiful as it does in the pictures, with well-maintained interiors and a charming ambiance. Our room was exceptionally clean, and the bathroom was spotless, reflecting the property’s high standards of hygiene. The location is also a major plus, as it is conveniently close to the station, making it easy to access. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast—they serve delicious, well-prepared meals that add to the overall experience.
During our stay, we encountered a few inconveniences. Firstly, there was no hot water in the wash basin, which was disappointing given the cold weather. Some hot water would have made things more comfortable. Secondly, the rooms lacked tea and coffee arrangements, which would have been helpful since the dining area isn’t accessible all day. We requested hot water and were provided with a flask, but having to ask for such small things felt inconvenient. Since this is a homestay, there are certain rules to follow. For instance, dinner orders must be placed between 7:00-7:30 PM, and the dining area closes by 9:30 PM. While this may not be an issue for everyone, we prefer a more flexible schedule when traveling. One evening, after visiting Nahargarh Fort, we couldn’t contact the property due to network issues and returned around 8:30 PM, only to be told that dinner was no longer available. Additionally, all outdoor lights were turned off by 9:00 PM, which made sitting outside feel a bit uncomfortable. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if you’re comfortable with these rules. However, it’s not the best choice for a laid-back, flexible experience.

Verified reviewThe downside of this hotel is it's not easy to reach, tuktuks don't easily find it and we had to rely on Uber to reach it. That said I liked the place, the rooms are not new but clean and with fancy furniture and decorations, and the owner goes out of his way to help you. I need to say that I got food poisoning during my stay here, I can't know for sure if it was something from the hotel breakfast but that's my guess.
Dear Lu. Thank you for the review. we appreciate the same. We would like to bring out that all our food is freshly cooked and that is why we take prior orders so that we can cook a fresh meal. No one as yet has had even a loose bowel after having food here leave alone food poisoning. We are sorry to learn that you got food poisoning during your trip to Jaipur.

Verified reviewOur room was very clean and comfortable. The food was fabulous. Our host went out of his way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We particularly liked the location, close to major transport links, restaurants etc, yet it was like a quiet oasis, away from noisy main road. A couple of small things that could improve would be a repair of bathroom door, so it opened and closed more easily. The air conditioner was noisy, however we didn't really need it so not a major issue. A kettle in the room would also be appreciated.
