Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe locals and the staff were really friendly and super helpful! The room was comfortable, even though the beds were quite firm! The owner went over and above to keep us happy and they have the best masala tea and toast!

SpainThe rooftop does not show as good as in the pictures. We were told the breakfast was buffet but there were only toasts and porridge.
The room had a balcony and everything is very clean. Staff are very helpful and can offer any kind of service.

The staff were all really friendly and the rooftop was the perfect place to relax. We had the best chai of our whole trip and we loved the delicious vegetarian buffet dinners!!

AustriaWe liked the rooftop, it was a perfect place to relax. Also, the location is really good. Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan and Hawa Mahal (and from there Albert Hall Museum) are in walking distance within less than 30min. The breakfast was simple, but the Chai really good; Vegetarian means no eggs in India. The room had everything we needed.

BelarusThe hotel is decent, but definitely not a boutique hotel. Breakfast was okay. We booked two rooms – my friend didn’t have hot water in her room, while I was luckier as I had a boiler. The rooftop view is amazing. The staff is good and helpful.

A wonderful place to stay! The rooftop is the perfect place to relax, eat delicious food, watch the kite flying, see the surrounding hills of Jaipur. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. Ajit is the perfect host and good company! Ask about the jeweller in the basement! We had rings made by him and we were very happy with them!

VietnamMy single room is right next to the street and the sound proof is nonexistent. Lots of honking and noise during the night, unfortunately. The place doesn't look as lively as in the pictures. Good thing is it's clean, but the wall paint seems old and worn-out, especially rooftop. The first impression for me was that it's been receiving no to very poor maintainence. My room is super basic. The room has some weird designs to it. It has one extra tiny room, kinda half finished, with only a sink in it (no idea how to use that space), meanwhile the medium size bathroom has a super tiny sink with no space to put toiletries. I regret I picked this location because the traffic is really bad inside the gates during rush hours. It costs to just move around with tuk tuk anyway, so I wouldn't bother to stay INSIDE the gates. I'd rather stay a bit outside. This neighborhood is not "an calm oasis" like some reviews mentioned at all, don't believe it.
Staff are extremely kind and supportive. They're so polite, friendly and attentive. The only reason I'd come back is for the staff. I hope the owner treats and pays them well because they really keep this place alive, clean and well organized. Hot water is almost always on and runs very hot.

IrelandThe meals were only buffet, had motor taxi and taxi hanging around to give you very reasonable price tours but brought you also around to shops, not an open market, in which you were given a sales pitch and pretty sure driver was on a commission, I ended it early as didn't want another sales pitch in a off the track shop. He also wanted to go to lunch where no doubt a commission was paid, I told him to return to the hotel, where I found a good restaurant not too far by. Not sure if the hotel also gets a commission. I prefer to shop and discover on my own. Picture on booking.com don't represent the room you get.
Staff were available, and laundry was available.

United StatesWhile the vibes were amazing, the facilities were missing a lot of details. For example, our room did not have curtains, the bathroom was moldy, there was no soap/shampoo, wifi did not work well, and there was a hole in our porch door. It wasn't a big deal, but many of these would be easy to fix.
The vibes were fantastic. You really feel like family here, and the staff are helpful, kind, and open to teaching you about their cultures. The food is also fantastic--truly some of the best we had in India.

RussiaMy room was a bit noisy as it almost faced the busy road, but after 10-11pm it became quiet. Don't think much can be done with that. But if you are very sensitive to the noise, consider choosing another room.

IndiaI liked everything about my stay, but I have a few suggestions to improve the dorm rooms for a more comfortable experience: 1-Please add two dustbins in the dorms—one in the room and one in the washroom—so people can easily dispose of garbage. 2-Please provide toilet paper in the washroom. 3-There is currently no stand to place soap, shower gel bottles, or shampoo bottles. Adding one would be very helpful.
Chillout is a very nice and comfortable place for everyone. Highly recommended for families and solo travellers. The staff is very nice, friendly, and extremely helpful. I was here for the weekend, and they truly made my trip special. A special thanks to Mr. Ajeet Singh, who is an awesome cook and entertainer. I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay. Thank you, Chillout! I will visit again. One of the highlights of my trip was the bonfire night with live music and great songs. It was such a joy to connect with Indian families and foreign travelers, sharing long conversations and making new friends. This was the most beautiful part of my entire trip. The rooftop was awesome and a great spot to meet other travellers. Lovely to laze around during the day as well as enjoy chai, breakfast and the dinner buffet - which were all delicious. Great value for money and the staff were lovely to hang out with & deal with. They helped me book onward transport and were always around to have a chinwag on the roof.
