That they had no kitchen. Like you cannot even make tea or maggi yourself also. You'll have to order from Swiggy from Zomato but that's also not readily available there in that area easily. You'll have to order after 11 AM and before 8 PM to get your food. Barely any common area. Like it was too small. Cramped up by people even if half of the guests decide to come and sit in the common area. It was run by a volunteer when we went there and she had not much clue about anything. There is a terrace which has the potential to be a decent common area but it has no roof which makes it very difficult to hangout there since it rained so much in Ooty.

The view is just amazing. The beds were decent. Good for those travellers who just wanna go there to sleep in the night and leave immediately the day after. Washroom was very clean although they didn't have handwash only. LOL.

My stay at Rastafari was simply excellent. The location is a little difficult to reach but it is worth the effort. The view from the terrace is just awesome. The rooms are clean and tidy. Smells fresh all the time The most important aspect are the owners who run the show. Amarendra and Antra are by far the best hosts I have seen. They spent most of the day from their busy schedule to take me around. They made me feel right at home. Keep it up guys !!!!

No wash basin in open spaces. One has to go to wash room for even hand wash

Good accommodation uphill. Nice views from the hostel. But one has to climb up the hill to reach the hostel. Response and amenities are good. Food delivery is available.

The location, facilities and the Vibe. The rooms are clean and the house keeping was exceptional. The access to the property is a bit challenging and thrilling... They arranged a campfire on the top and enjoyed staying there. Made a couple of good friends 😀

It’s different vibe, you meet different people and the owner- antara and amrendra both are great Good behaviour. they provide campfire and talk with the staying people like a family. It’s just really good. I actually enjoyed staying there.

No soaps in the bathroom, but was provided on request. The floor gets very cold sometimes and could use some indoor footwear.

Rastafari is situated at a beautiful hilltop with amazing views. We experienced the OG Ooty weather right from our bedroom balcony. Hosts, Amrendra and Antara are friendly and welcoming, and helped us explore the city too with some super useful suggestions. At the bonfires, expect Amrendra to share some mind boggling experiences from his travels. Not to mention their house help, Vicky, a superstar who helped us arrange a private taxi for sightseeing.

Sound travels a lot from within the building, would have preferred a way to keep the dorm door shut without locking it, hard to find for delivery drivers but that's just minor things, it was overall a great stay

Beautiful location with an amazing view into the valley on the rooftop terrace, cozy and clean place, no noise from the city, nice and helpful staff, they also helped book some day tour cabs and prepared bonfires on the rooftop in the evening, very affordable

Cleanliness and view are the two most important qualities of this place. If we could we would stay longer. The staff is really helpful and great people to chat and chill. If u need food all deliveries from Ooty come in less than 30 min. Highly recommended!
