Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelQuiet, calm place, lots of greenery. As an introvert, I really liked that the staff is not an eyesore. All interactions are mainly through short, clear messages.

IsraelThe place is not dilapidated, yet it really could use a good renovation and a few additions. Jacuzzi is old to the point that plastic itself is aged to the touch (some reviewers called that "dirty", not exactly, not pleasant either). The shower is separated, and in such a manner that showering before/after the bath is quite sure to wet half of thee living space. Infact, that's gonna happen no matter what, as neither are separated from the living space. On top of that, everything is very basic, narrow stovetop, 1-off glasses, and table space overall is at premium, despite there being a lot of empty floor space. No cleaning broom in sight, etc etc. Nothing deal-breaking, yet you often feel like this and that could use some attention.
Nice and authentic place, small country-style houses pretty much in the middle of the city. The entire seaside promenade is starting right at the gate, and to the other side there's "the less touristy, living city" (+some high-end hotels). The place is just far enough to be quiet, yet 2-min walk puts you on the central square, literally. It is also fairly cozy, and the outdoor bbq zone overlooks Kinneret and people walking by. Cool! Ah, and there's a rather fine coffee!

United Statesa little hard to find but we were very happy when we did find it. I mention the slippery floor or their water comes out from the shower.
I loved the outdoor area with a peak of Sea of Galilee. the bed was comfortable and the place was clean. be careful of floor near shower as it gets wet and very slippery. Host was accommodating and we will be back!

DenmarkWe met no staff at all. We were a little worried about the safety. A gate to the garden was secured but could easily be opened without the code. And the last night a group of young men knocked at our door at 02.30AM. According to the informations there is a private beach but we could not find it. The free parking lot was often occupied by others. There was no table and chairs inside the room.
We liked the location very much. We liked the garden very much. And it was all clean and fine. And the price was ok.

CanadaI didnt think it was right to charge an additional 100 NIS for cleaning after a one night stay. I can understand if it was charged for cleaning the outside area if you had a group BBQ. The Cleaniing Fee should be inclusive of the price.
Place was nice and good location close to the Lake and boardwalk area. Was comfortable and reminded me of staying in a Cottage in Canada under the trees, quite nice. Lots of room for a BBQ and picnic tables for seating was ok.

IsraelDoor was stuck when we arrived and stiff to open (room 2), waited a while for someone to turn up- he was not in a good mood. Solar heater needed a while to heat up. Some of the wooden slats outside were rotted through. The first night there was alot of noise on the roof and outside.
Amazing location. Right on the promenade. Next to food and activities. Didnt have to leave the area in the 3 days we were there. Beit knesset nearby. Decent coffee supplied. Good entertainment system.

PolandThe very charming outdoor dining area - wooden table and chair - were quite dirty, partly because they stand below the big trees - so it is a natural dirt from the falling leaves, birds that live there etc. There is no roofing neither umbrellas that will protect the place from it. It took us some time to clean it to the level that we wish to sit and dine outdoor. More frequent cleaning of this area would be appreciated especially that on top of the bookingg.com price we paid the cleaning fee.
We like the place very much. Very spacious room - sort of ALL-In-ONE. Sleeping area, kitchen, shower and washbasin. You even have jacuzzi - which we did not used. Very well equipped including an iron, coffee machine with coffee capsules and more. Although it is just 100 m from the Galilee Lake promenade it is very silent place. It sits in the private garden under big trees. The owner was very helpful to recommend the free parking just 50 m from the apartment. Smooth check-in process. The dining area is outside - you do not have indoor table but it was not a problem for us.

IsraelWe had a bed full of ants, which bited my girlfriend and she suffered for a few weeks from them. We couldn’t stay there and left the property at night. Also there was no response from the owner and no consideration of any refund. Really bad and not recommended at all. Very bad experience.

United StatesRoom is dank, smelling of mildew, and also strongly of some chemical that was used to try to hide the mildew. Gave me a terrible sore throat. No real view from the windows. The security gate was broken -- we could get in and out without the code (as could anyone else -- if they didn't just climb over the wall). We would have liked to be fore-warned that the hot water takes a long time to heat up.
Good location. Near an excellent place for dinner.

United KingdomThese are two lodges on a main thoroughfare so little privacy. The garden was under renovation and easily accessible to the public. We had to tell three groups of people to get out!One room was very open plan, so only good for couples. One room smelled of drains. There is an old, large and unappealing bath/jacuzzi in both rooms. That space would be better used for a large dining table in Room 2. We did also see cockroaches in the shower but, hey, this is the Middle East, don't forget. This meant we did not want to do any cooking in case we attracted more of the critters.
Great location walking distance to the sea. This was also a disadvantage because the property is on the main thoroughfare and passersby would look over the gate or worse, walk in and settle themselves down in the garden! All our complaints were professionally dealt with and we were offered an upgrade on our last night which made our stay in Tiberias (which has really gone downhill since I was last here 10 years ago) a great deal more bearable, dare I say, even a pleasure. All credit to Ilan the maintenance man. Toda raba, haver.

United Statesthe entrance to the log cabin (more like a shed) is beneath two trees, so look carefully. the pots/pans were not cleaned(could not be used even for some light cooking) there is no door to the bathroom so bring your own door or a curtain. They have a bathtub that is broken and is in a horrible condition. Save yourself the nightmare and stay in the two hotels that are close to this place
