There was no soap in my bathroom, working batteries in the TV remote control, or bath towel in my room when I arrived. However, the staff took care of all of these issues within 24 hours of my notifying them.

I was very impressed with Tiberias Hostel. I had a problem with Booking.com adding an exorbitant bill when I added an extra night through their website. The hostel was very patient and trusting by giving me time to sort out the problem rather than making me pay the raised price up front. Beware of "changing dates" on Booking.com because they don't tell you how much it will cost and bill you after they get the OK from the property BEFORE asking you to confirm. In any case I am very grateful to Tiberias Hostel for not making my life miserable because of the technical issue.

The kitchen facilities were almost non-existent. Needs at least a microwave, more coffee and tea supplies, milk/creamer, and more mugs. A proper kitchen, even a small one, would be good. Hostels are expected to provide some self-catering facilities.

The frig seal was not working, and the frig was also unbalanced, so it was leaking.

Sanitary situation wasn't good at all. No privacy courtains on the beds. No ac in common areas. Also, and this is not the fault of the property, but shady people around sometimes.

I stayed at Tiberius Hostel for three nights. The staff at the hostel were very welcoming and hospitable. They offered me food and welcomed me to sit with them for dinner. The location is perfect for seeing the sites around the Sea of Galilee and is very affordable. The hostel has a roof that looks out across the Sea of Galilee, which is perfect to relax. The place was clean, and everything was in its right order. There isn't a bad word I could say about it. I would recommend booking this hostel if you are planning on staying in Tiberius or in the surrounding areas

Luggage must be dragged up stairs. The dorms are quite small and cleaning was sporadic due to minimal staff because of the war, when I was there.

The hostel is easily reached down the same street as the bus station heading towards the Sea of Galilee. A pin is needed for the front door. Check in was quick and easy I had managed to ring them about my eta from the bus but apparently got the wrong number. The kitchen/dining room is large and well-stocked with cooking equipment. The rooftop is a lovely place to sit, socialize and enjoy the view. There's a clothes line and electrical sockets. The location is central and a short walk from Kinneret. Everybody including staff and other guests were friendly and helpful.

The price-performance ratio is excellent. Very central location. I was there during the war, so a lot of things were limited (there were no towels). Very nice lounge area for a dozen bloggers with enough power sockets... :-) Private sleeping bags are prohibited, but that makes sense (due to any "small animals" that may be brought along). Very informative displays about what you can do in the area. Very nice big kitchen. More accommodation for hard-core globetrotters than for people who want to go on vacation. Any time.

The rooms was a bit small for my family of four and could do with a larger refrigerator. I also think it was a bit too pricey but it served a purpose.

The breakfast was just a breakfast nothing to write home about. The staff was very helpfully regarding recommending places to eat and places to visit. We stayed in a family room which was very quiet.
