How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewbreakfast was excellent, plentiful and delicious. the view was exeptional and the room very comfortable! The porch was large and shaded, and beds were comfortable. There are not many rooms on each floor, which means that you dont feel that you are in an overpopulated and super busy hotel. Even in mid summer!
On day one, after we moved into our rooms, a couple knocked on our door saying they had been given the same keys to the same room! in fact, we had noticed a small bag in one of our rooms.... this actually belonged to them!!!They were extremely surprised, as were we! although this was worked out, we received no apology from the hotel! It took time to work out and was distressing as we were unsure if we would have to repack and move rooms. I would have expected some partial refund for this, or some other benefits

The room and general quality of the staff is medium level not more. for example the TV screen resolution is very poor. i.e. the picture/video quality was really bad, also in the elevators all the labels are erased i.e. you cant read where is the breakfast served ? the balcony lights cant turn off, or the balcony door cant lock.... and so on. we stayed at 702 also didnt like the

Verified reviewAmazing location. Breakfast was sufficient. The workers at the spa were fantastic. UPDATE to original review: A few days after this review a representative of the hotel chain's CEO called me to discuss my review. To her credit, she listened to my story and even verified the facts with her staff. She said she was sorry and they definitely made mistakes. She tried offering me a pool day pass as compensation (why would I want to go back to the place I just had a terrible experience?). I asked for a refund instead. She said the CEO refused to discuss it. Finally when she offered a free night at their other hotel, after hours of back and forth. I finally said "OK" just to end the saga. BUT WAIT! Now she tells me there's a catch! She said the CEO told her she could only give the compensation if I would change or remove my bad review. I was shocked. I told her I could not and would not do that and I was shocked she would ask me to do something so unethical. She doubled down on her stance that her previous offer was now conditional. Only after I told her I would be filing a report with Booking (its clearly against their terms to try and influence reviews), with the ministry of economy, and potentially filing a claim in small claims court about an hour later she came back and said its OK I don't have to change my review but then at the same time she has blocked me and never event sent me the voucher!
Incredibly rude and lazy staff. On Shabbat they were refusing to open the garage so I could park even though there was plenty of space and it's supposed to be included. But not because of Shabbat, because they let in too many non-hotel visitors and the manager decided no more cars. Then one of 2 elevators broke. People were waiting 30-40 minutes to get to their rooms. The workers just made the situation worse. Anton in particular. When my girlfriend went to report the elevator wasn't working Anton argued with her for almost 10 minutes about how she was wrong and they all work, instead of just walking 25m around the corner to see for himself. Then Anton (after being ordered by his supervisor to open the garage for me) continued arguing with me about why he shouldn't have to do it and kept threatening to not open it if I didn't first thank him (for doing his job). Then there was a fight at the pool between two men. One took a glass beer bottle and was threatening to kill the other. Then he started trying to throw lounge chairs over the perimeter until security came and had to physically subdue him. Police were called and came to investigate. Then somehow an hour later both men were allowed back at the pool like nothing happened? All of this at a hotel claiming to be luxurious. The staff act more like you'd expect at a dingy hostel in Bratislava, not a "luxury" hotel where you expect to be treated as a valued customer. Not a single person even said "I'm sorry" they instead default to telling you why you're wrong or just giving an excuse why they can't (won't) do anything. The only reason we stayed was because one of the employees there (I think his name is Uriel) finally stepped up and offered to help out. He apologized for the whole thing, found a way to get us to our room, and forced Anton to open the garage for me.

Verified reviewView from the room was beautiful and balcony was spacious.
Bathroom was tiny. The worst part was that you had to slide 2 heavy doors to get into the bathroom which would block the closet. The ventilation in the room was horrible. The cleaning crew did not do a good job of cleaning our room and making our beds. We had to repeatedly request towels and shampoo. The dining room is buried in the basement with no view of the beautiful beach! What was most disappointing was the bar closed early every day and the staff did not even care.
