Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelCost, pretty expensive, would be nicer if it could have been a bit cheaper. Room card keys, as it appear if they are close to a phone, it would reset them, and they won't work, an important info that would have been helpful knowing right from the check in. Coffe offered in the room is pretty dull, would expect from a place stating "experience the best", to have at least a Nespresso machine at hanndy, maybe I'm spoiled ;).
Well fitted to families with small kids and there are a variety of attractions in just a walking distance.

United KingdomThe executive lounge was nice but the food wasn’t quite what was expected. Plenty of flowing wine but for some reason the soft drinks were less easy to access. Beautiful views from the balcony though.
Amazing views. Excellent breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable. Staff were mainly very attentive and pleasant. The pool area was well maintained and clean.

IsraelI did not like the view of the sea, because we got a room at the back of the hotel, and only small part of the sea was seeable.
I liked the Cleanliness of the hotel, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was very good, the transportation is ease to get near the hotel.

SwitzerlandThe breakfast room offered a large choice but the room was crowded and noilsy. The food was spread over different area. The hotel is not very convenient for people with walking difficulties, as access to the pool and breakfast room require climbing stairs.
Great view and nice size of the room and bathroom. AC worked well.

United StatesBreakfast is wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. I love the pool and all the green space. The location is just perfect and it's perfect for families. We were going to take a cruise out of Haifa and the port is so close to the hotel.

United StatesThe hotel could use some modernization in the lobby area. It's clean and comfy but feels a little dated.
The location is very nice since it's on top of the highest point in the area. A nice walking path runs behind the hotel with a view of Haifa and the bay. There is also a wide range of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The lobby of the hotel is nice and comfortable but could use some modernization. The breakfast was so good. Fresh fruits, grains, yogurts, eggs. All delicious.

CanadaThe staff were polite and helpful; the majority additionally speak Russian. There was (paid) covered parking available at the hotel, which is very convenient and safe if you have a rental car. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were nice, and the beds were comfortable. They provided fresh towels not only with room cleaning but in the afternoon as well. The breakfast had many options and a lot of good desserts. The location is good on Mount Carmel and provides lots of food venues, bars and shopping places to pick from on the main street; it is easy to go downtown using the subway, which isn't far from the hotel.

IsraelThe decor is outdated, I didn't love that everything in the room is brown. All the light switches get a bit confusing (had to unplug some of the lights because I couldn't figure out how to turn them off) and I couldn't find a room service menu anywhere even though room service was mentioned in the welcome brochure. I appreciated having some vegan options for breakfast like yogurt and cheese, but when I tried to find out if any of the hot dishes or pastries were vegan, the chef refused to answer any questions and responded only with "I don't know." This felt really rude, and I'd also imagine it could be problematic for people with allergies when the staff doesn't know the ingredients of the food they're serving. I was left with a breakfast that was disappointing, especially when other hotels in Israel make much more of an effort to cater to vegans. (When I mentioned this at the reception desk, I was sent a link to a form to fill out, but nobody ever got back to me.)
My room was comfortable and clean, the view was lovely and it was nice to have the balcony. The bathtub and shower were good, with great water pressure. The location isn't the most convenient, but it's easy to get to with public transportation. The staff was mostly friendly and professional and check-in and check-out went smoothly.

United StatesEverything was good. No complaints. The main city is far below the hotel, but there is an easy, inexpensive train that stops near the hotel and takes you down to various parts of the city.
The view from the balcony overlooks the Haifa port and beaches. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Very nice experience.

Very welcoming staff, they try to help to their best answer our questions. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was amazing! They had a kids playarea with play station for the older kids which was really good for my 12 years old - it was just a soft llYarea for little ones!

IsraelThe view to the north, which the hotel calls "Bayview", is spectacular (as opposed to "Seaview and Carmel" which is more mundane). We had a medical emergency which was well handled by the staff, both at the time of the emergency and afterwards. Breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended.
