Great position. Large very comfortable king size bed, strong hot shower, full view of the beach. Good breakfast. Great value for money.

There was unfortunately building works next door no fault to the hotel but woke me up early at 7 am each morning.

The location was amazing opposite the beach !! The staff were very helpful with nothing too much for them. Breakfast was varied and good for Passover also !! Loved the free coffee and cold water any time of day. The beds were comfy the room was small but equipped well and the bathroom was very small but shower very powerful with lovely free shampoo shower gel.

We arrived late but reception was friendly . Good breakfast..Clean. hot water and comfortable beds and Pillows. Some upgrading but overall a good place..loved that the rooms were no smoking.

The fridge in the room didn't work The walls seem to be very thin, I heard every word from the adjacent room.. Breakfast was not ready from 7.a.m as announced, by 8 a.m, after I asked, they brought me a tray with vegetables, cheese,a hard boiled egg ,salted cheese pastry (borekas)which was ok, but with only white toast bread

do not be duped Do not be fooled by the pictures and the ratings do not stay here The Basel Hotel Is a dump The accommodation is not only old but dirty. dirty toilet brushes mouldy bath plugs Scant breakfast if you can call it a breakfast Unhelpful and grumpy staff Hotel isn’t cleaned and in 5 days our room wasn’t made up. Impossible to speak to anyone. Management are defensive and unapproachable. I would like my money back!! It is unappealing, dirty, poorly equipped. When they had thier check in there was a queue of people complaints, one person found a rotten water melon in thier room- room clearly was barely cleaned between guests, this place is 1/10 at best don’t get duped to I wanted to leave and they would t give me my money back

Pool is nice but got every full and rowdy on Shabbat and is closed extremely early whilst it is still hot and needed/ no service by the pool

The place is being renovated. The wonderful big buffet in the beautiful room downstairs is gone. The option for snacks in the main lobby is also gone. Food left under my son’s bed, our little fridge was disgusting. Have stayed here many times—hope the new changes will happen quickly. The location is great. The pool sweet. Staff kind.

The place was dirty, had to request soap, toilet paper. Had to mop up flooding of shower. My wife was struggling to breathe because of some smell through the air conditioner.

The location was excellent, but the place is run down, nothing like the photos and description on the website. Wanted to leave, and did check out early, without any refund, was told to contact Booking.com

The room condition is terrible, and the AC is not working. It’s clear that the rooms weren’t ventilated for long periods, and the bed contained bed bugs. It So disappointing !
