Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyIt was a bit dirty, the towels seemed not as clean as they should be.
Nir was a really helpful host by the time the siren in Jerusalem went off. We felt very safe all the time. Thank you for that! The breakfast was nice and the garden is adorable if your meant to stay home. There werw very nice other guests

United StatesAfter reading reviews on breakfast, I was disappointed. I would have liked to see juice and a little more fresh bread or fruit. If I had known, I would have just prepared food back in the room instead.
Room facilities were good with kitchen area and loft bed for kids, although could use some minor repairs. Walking distance to train station.

SpainI rented the apartment which is just at Jaffa street. Due to the construction that's going on in there, there was a lot of noise from 6 am till 10pm and even two nights I almost couldn't sleep because they were working nonstop till 4 and 5 am. I hope this will end soon!!
El trato personal con Nir, siempre atento y con ganas de ayudar en lo que sea. El apartamento en sí está bastante bien.

GermanyThe equipment in the rooms is a little bit dated and basic. The bathroom has no ventilation. It could also see some new touches. For the degree of comfort, the price is high, you’re charged for the convenience of the location.
The accommodation is located just minutes away from the central bus and the central train station. That would be your main reason to want to stay there. The manager is very kind. The property is Houston in an old building and has somewhat of a historic field. The room where the breakfast is served fields kind of homey.

PolandBrekfast was simple and each day they served the same menu. Some differentiation would be welcome (we missed shakshuka, cheese, some diary or eggs), but well at this size of price it was fine. We had an impression that the apartment wasn't cleaned well (dirty windows, some dirty towels)
The host (Nir) was really helpful not only in terms of our apartment but also in terms of our plans for the day & current situation in the city/ Israel. He was very positive and friendly. The Allenby is perfectly located, 5min from main train station that is directly linked with Ben Gurion Airport (25min), tram 3min or bus stop in front of the door. That was super comfortable when travelling with a small kid. We met very interesting people from all over the world at breakfast which was nice.

BelgiumThe first 2 days we were unable to turn off the heating and then when they came to ‘fix it’ we weren’t able to turn on the heat again for the remaining 3 days but we didn’t want to complain again. The water of the shower also did not want to get warm even after 10 minutes of running
The staff was really friendly, the outdoor area was very pleasant and the breakfast was a big plus

GreeceThe room was small but functional. There is an upper level with a mattress and perfect for a child. However, there was random 2 mattresses left in the upper level and next to our bed. It seems tha the ownes have no place to store them.
The location was excellent! We have arrived late at night and getting to the property from the Central Station was a piece of cake. The property is around 35 minutes walk to the old city and all points of interests. There is light breakfast served in the morning.

United StatesI don’t recommend the shared bathrooms. Very loud in the morning due to construction happening. And loud in early evening surprisingly!
The first room we were in was small with two twin beds, we pushed them together. There was not much space at all in the room, but we only slept there so it wasn’t a problem for us. There was a shared bathroom that wasn’t a problem in the beginning, but ended up having a guy who made a huge mess sharing with us. But it’s advertised as shared bathroom, so if you don’t like that you should definitely get a better room! We booked additional nights and we were generously upgraded to a larger room off from the main B&B. In that room we had our own bathroom. By American standards the bathroom are very lackluster (I hate to be a snob but they are gross), however it seems very typical of Israeli accommodations. Showers that let water go all over the bathroom, no closed in area, or no curtains. After a month of traveling across Israel I don’t hold the bathrooms against the budget friendly stays, they are doing the best they know how. Good ac, hair dryer provided, wifi, and TV (we didn’t use it but it was there and I assume it worked great!) The provided breakfast is simple and perfect for a great start to the day. Toast, cereal, fruit salad, all sorts of salads (typical Israeli spread). Great coffee from the nespresso machine! The lady who makes it does a great job, and that makes up for her rudeness. The manager Nir is amazing and kind! He is very helpful and communicative.

SwedenWe stayed with three kids and had a great experience! Nir was super friendly and helpful, great location, 3 min from trainstation and if you happen to be like me, a big "Shtiselfan" (Netflix serie) you will be living next door to the ultra orthodox jewish neighbourhood. Very good access to the Old Town with the tram also a coupe of minuters from the house. I am so, so happy with my stay at Nir's place! Also very good coffea for breakfast:)!

United StatesThis place needs a renovation to be comfortable. Cleanness needs to be improved. When we checked in, we saw other people's hairs and ants on bed. We told them about it. They cleaned the room once, but it was not good. Breakfast was o.k. My major problem was the owner and his refund policy. We booked a room for two different days: 4 nights and 1 night after a few days. We stayed four nights in early October and booked another night five days later. When we checked in, the owner asked us for the prepayment for the second stay. So, we did. However, before we come back to Jerusalem for the second stay, Hamas fired rockets to Israel including Jerusalem. Israel declared a war against Hamas. All flights were cancelled. So, we cancelled our second stay reservation in Jerusalem and let the owner know it. Instead of flying, we crossed the border to Jordan by land (we stayed in Galilee). I sent a message to the owner a few times for a refund. However, he refused to giving me a refund. He offered me a one night credit when I come back to Jerusalem next time. But, I do not have a plan to come back to Israel. I asked him again for the refund of my prepayment. Under the current circumstances, I felt that I should get a refund. No response from him again. He decided to ignore my request. Please be aware of his refund policy.
Location. They are 4 minutes away from the central train station and trams. They are 3 minutes away from the long distance bus station.
