Staff was exceptional. We had a problem with our rental car and they assisted us in resolving the issue. My husband left his suit bag in the room and didn't realize it until we were 3 hours away from the hotel. The staff had it couriered to our final destination where he would need the suits and it couldn't have worked out more perfectly! Liked that it was away from the touristy area of the city.

The room was too warm and we could only open the windows if we raised the blinds-didn't want to have the windows open all night with the noise from the restaurant and parking lot. Room is VERY quiet when the windows are closed--that's a good thing!

The food in the restaurant was excellent.

You cant find anywhere that the property is right on top of a pub. It’s more of a pub with rooms to stay, so it was noisy all the time, from the early morning until late at night you could hear the music from the pub in your room. Reception stuff was none existent so you could not complain to anyone. Finally, all the rooms overlook the pub/hotel parking and given you were on the first flood you practically had two choices, no natural light, or flashing everyone in the parking lot.

Great ambience and decor Super location and great staff

The breakfast was good, we paid on top of the room rate, but nice choice and freshly cooked. tis was situated right beneath the hotel rooms.

The room was big .Nice decoration.Bed very comfy. We had dinner in the pub and it is really worth it.Good cooking and exceptional friendly service.

The staff at reception was not welcoming, not even acknowledging us when we arrived. In spite of secondary glazing the room vas noisy due to the traffic passing by ( especially buses and trucks).A bit of soundproofing is needed there.

We loved the Huntsman, snd have wanted to stay here for a while. It's a great place ideally located just a short drive from Galway's Eyre square. It's very clean and comfortable. The decor outside and inside is so nice. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast both meal's were superb, and the staff are amazing so friendly and helpful. 5 star's

Room was way too hot

Great location; only a leisurely walk to main downtown of Galway action. Rental car was safe in the parking lot. Free parking. Also it was very convenient that a gas station was just across the street to refuel before we continued our journey. Comfy bed & tons of wardrobe & drawer space. Iron & ironing board handy in wardrobe.

Although very clean, the room smelled of stale smoke. As we were there for only one night we didn't bother asking for a new room.
