Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesQuite honestly, we were very happy with our accommodations and don't have any suggestions.
The unit had a fridge to keep items for breakfast and snacks. We walked from bus station, and it was a little longer than we expected - or felt that way since we had suitcases, but the setting was so lovely and peaceful - it was set back so we didn't feel like we were in the city at all. It was convenient to restaurants and bars, and the walk to city central wasn't so far once we ditched the suitcases. There was a bike rental nearby, plus we walked to Ross Castle. Michael, our host, was helpful with suggestions and directions. He was amiable with us coming and going in his home. The "glamping" units were quite private and we were a bit envious of people renting those!

Very nice accommodation. The host was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed. The outdoor kitchen was great and had all the facilities for self-catering. The location was very peaceful, yet only walking distance to town. Overall, it was a lovely stay and would recommend.

NetherlandsWilliam was a very friendly host. Room was really spacious. The neighbourhood was also very calm as the accommodation is within a gated community. We really appreciated the option to cook outside although we didn't get time to use the barbecue. There was also tge option to buy water and drinks from the outdoor kitchen. We received enough plates, bowls and cutlery to eat too. There was also enough parking space. All in all, everything was much better than we had expected!

IrelandThough recycle bins were aplenty, no outside rubbish bins when we visited, but owner regularly collects when needed.
Quiet and in a gated area. Close to town and owner was respectful, available, and nice. Outdoor amenities as good as a kitchen! And, outdoor fridge stocked with beer and wine which you pay on the honor system.

United StatesWhile it was not an issue for us, access to guest rooms on the second floor requires the use of interior stairs, which is clearly stated, in the property description.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I made this booking, as I’m more accustomed to booking rooms in brand name chain hotels. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of our experience with the Priory Guest Accommodations. Our Host, William, was cheery, helpful, and answered every question that we had for him. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and offered every amenity that we needed or wanted. The extra facilities at the Priory Guest House were incredible. Our Host and proprietor seemingly thought of every need that his guests might have, and provides accommodation for all of them. The shared outdoor kitchen/eating area provides the space, equipment, and tools to prepare any type of quick meal, snack, or beverage that a guest might want. In addition to several traditional en-suite bedrooms, the facility also offers 7 “glamping” pods that seemed to be extremely popular with guests. The facility is located within an easy walk to the City Center, Entertainment areas, and Train Station. Multiple stores and restaurants are also located within a couple blocks of the Priory location. We hope to return for another visit, and will definitely book this property again!

United KingdomI have no complaints whatsoever. William was a great host really friendly and helpful. Our room was decorated and furnished well, really comfortable and relaxing. We slept like logs during our stay mainly down to the fresh air taken in whilst out walking and possibly the odd glass of wine lol. The location is ideal for the way we travelled being only a fifteen minute walk from Killarney train station and then all the bars, restaurants and shops in the centre of Killarney. Plenty of tour facilities around to help you visit the most beautiful of sites in the national park. We have had a really pleasant stay in a lovely setting. This was our first time to Killarney but I assure you it will not be our last. Thank you Killarney and of course William for being a great host👏👏👏☘️
A very pleasant setting with great facilities. The outdoor cooking area had every utility you would want. We only used the drinks fridge though as we were out visiting the beautiful sites in Killarney national park most of the time.

United KingdomArea is expensive and a bit of a rip off. £100 a night for just room and no breakfast. Internet was intermittent on one device. No full channel list on TV. No BBC 1 or 2 or Itv or 4 or 5. No drying area and radiators were not on due to time of year so couldn't get clothes dry.
Clean room good shower good parking good coffee machine. Decent bed and facilities. Nice host.

United StatesThe location was just outside the center of the city but was within walking distance to everything. The property is located in a secure gated community which was quite lovely with very nice gardens. William, our host also gave us phenomenal sightseeing advice which greatly enhanced the enjoyment of our visit. His advice on visiting the nearby "Ring of Kerry" was really great and we had a fabulous time as a result. I should add that the parking at this property is really good and there is a central cafe available where I was able to purchase a nice variety of cold beverages and get ice. We would definitely stay at the A Priori Guest House again.

United StatesThe property is conveniently located (short walk to some amenities in town) but also feels somewhat secluded/peaceful as well. We utilized the outdoor kitchen for preparing several meals which was fantastic in the nice weather we had, but the area also had a roof overhead which would come in handy if your stay ends up being more wet than ours. We spoke with William several times and he was very kind and helpful in offering suggestions for things to do/see in the area, as well as backup plans in case our Skellig islands tour was canceled (about an hour and 15 minute drive to Portmagee). In town both Boardwalk Coffee and Good Boy coffee had great coffee. Also recommend Ross Castle - it wasn't the largest castle we saw on our trip but it ended up being the most memorable/our favorite!
