Niall the host and his staff are welcoming, pleasant helpful and informative. The room was spacious and warm the location was spot on close to town, racecourse and attractions. Breakfast was varied and very tasty.

The downside of this property was a lack of air-conditioning, It was not a good choice for late July, when the temperatures were high. It was not a real problem for us, but it is a good 15-minute walk to the main shopping and restaurant area. That can be a positive as well as a negative.

The staff was wonderful, the triple-room was ample for 3 people, and the breakfast was outstanding. There were restaurants and a convenience store/gas station within 200 yards. We needed to do some laundry and found a small laundromat at the convenience store.

Could have used an oscillating fan to keep air moving. No AC.

Location was great for visiting Killarney area. 10min walk to restaurants and short drives to surrounding areas. Host was very accommodating with a packed breakfast one morning when we were heading out before 8am. Super friendly and easy. Lift available which was a plus.

Warm welcome on arrival, good service at breakfast, spacious public areas, excellent bedroom which has clearly been designed and laid out by someone who know what guests actually need, which puts this hotel well ahead of many others. We felt that the whole hotel is being run by a professional, experienced family who how to make guests feel valued. We have no hesitation in staying at the Old Weir Lodge again.

Everything was great, perhaps a few boardgames in the bar or lounge would be nice.

Incredibly charming hotel with great atmosphere and friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable and the warm breakfast is cooked to order. This is how good hotels used to be. The location is close to the national park and Ross castle. Bicycle rental places are nearby and the town centre and station are walking distance.

The Old Weir Lodge was a wonderful place to stay in Killarney. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful. It felt very home like and warm there. The breakfast was exceptionally good.

We were on the first floor and our window opened and it was only about 1 foot off the ground. Felt a little nervous about safety for this reason.

Location was great, room was nice and staff very friendly. Especially loved the breakfast staff who went out of their way for us.

Breakfast was great, but we wish it was served a little earlier. We missed it two mornings, we had to leave early for our exursions. The bed pillows were on the firm side. No A/C unfortunately it was a warm 4 days we were there.

The Hotel has parking behind the Property and the Breakfast was really good (probably the best we had in the country on our trip). The Property is about 1KM to town area and maybe about 10 mins walk to the main strip. Pumping stations are close to the property and Check in / Check out was seamless when booked from Booking.com.
