Large bedroom , very clean Lovely views

Given previous reviews, I was expecting an exceptional breakfast but what I got was very average Not as peaceful as anticipated large trucks coming and going from 7am to 7pm

Room and bathroom both very spacious. All interiors, furnishing, carpets etc. in great condition (not like in some B&Bs were furnishing is sloppy looking/ looks very used). The room was tastefully furnished and towels were replaced several times during the 8 day stay without asking for it. Breakfast room had lovely looks over the mountains and was both cosy and pristine. Sitting room area bright, clean and spacious. Breakfast was fab served by Lyn and her lovely family. Very well organised and great choice. I should mention that our visitors have been asked daily if they wanted something else including different egg dishes, French toast, cheese, etc. I knew the B&B from friends before and we were not disappointed. Our family from abroad both of 80 were looked after so well and commented on it every day when we picked them up!

I recently stayed at this beautiful B&B with my young son and my mum, who is in the late stages of secondary cancer. This trip was incredibly important to us — one last chance to be together in a peaceful place, away from hospitals and stress. What we found here was more than just accommodation; it was a sanctuary. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such kindness and sensitivity. The hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable, anticipating our needs without ever being intrusive. They welcomed us like family, offering not only hospitality but genuine care — something that meant the world to us given the circumstances. The setting was absolutely stunning — tranquil gardens, cozy rooms filled with light, and quiet corners perfect for rest and reflection. Mum was able to enjoy the fresh air and birdsong each morning, which lifted her spirits in a way I hadn’t seen for a while. My son had space to play and be joyful, which brought life and laughter into a time that’s otherwise been heavy for us. We left with full hearts. This B&B gave us a gift no words can fully capture: a gentle, memorable time together, wrapped in warmth and care. Thank you for making this chapter of our family’s story a beautiful one.

A beautiful B & B just out in the country, peaceful & quiet. Very comfy room & bed. Lovely breakfast. Hostess very welcoming & helpful . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant communication and hospitality, Lyn and Siobhan were extremely helpful. Quiet location, very good breakfast and catered for our extra requirements without fuss.

The location of the B&B is close to Carlingford and the surrounding areas of interest. The host was very kind and gracious and her cooked Irish breakfast was really good. The sunny breakfast room overlooks a peaceful meadow with sheep grazing and is the ideal start for the day ahead. The room was comfortable with the basics in place.

A mirror close to a plug point in the bedroom would have been useful.

We couldn’t fault the property . Lovely room with good bathroom facilities and a very comfortable bed! Lyn was a wonderful host.
