Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe rooms are very basic and wooden. Making them a little uncomfortable. I felt the cost of the room didn’t meet my expectations and standards. Staff are hardworking but struggle with understanding English at times but they are all friendly.
Great location in the middle of beautiful scenery. Great facilities for kids and adventures. Spa is also a nice place to relax.

IrelandSome of the staff were less helpful, and were unfamiliar with hotel systems and amenities in the surrounding area. The organisation in the restaurant and hotel could be better with better attention to detail. There just seemed to be a lot of errors and confusion in particular in the restaurant at dinner time.
Beautiful location in Connemara. It's a short drive from Kylemore abbey. There are lots of nice activities. We had a fantastic time kayaking and our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. There are lots of nice walks and cycles nearby. The room was big and quiet ( if a little bit poorly laid out eg bed blocked part of the built in wardrobe, no shelves in bathroom, not enough towels in room.)

IrelandNothing we didnt like but a few things other travellers might like to know The nearest shop is half an hour away so it is good to bring some snacks and fruit if you dont want to buy food all the time. No fridge in the room, however, so no chance to buy cheese, ham etc. it would be good to have a small fridge in the room, especially that they dont have simple, easy to grab lunch options. Lovely SPA but if you do not buy a treatment and only want to use sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, you must pay 20e per hour. If you go for a treatment, an hour in the thermal suite is included. Staff not properly trained. This is my only complain. Nice people but the quality of service they provide does not reflect the quality of the hotel itself (the manager of the restaurant was amazing).
The location is absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast very good (some veggies would have been welcome). Facilities good and a lot of activities for kids and adults alike. Amazing walks on the premises. We were in a family room. 2 teenage girls and 2 adults and we didnt want to kill each other hahahhaa spacious enough and well organised. We are defo going to come back

SwitzerlandThe midges were insane one day but that is something to be aware of and you MUST have specific midge spray - they sell it at the hotel shop though. And they have midge nets. On a rainy day you might not enjoy the place as much but we had nice weather for our stay. You must have a car as it is in a very rural area.
Super hotel and restaurant food was delicious- they have a great chef and cater for allergies. The room was large and well equipped and the views lovely. We loved the spa area but also the adventure centre too. They have ziplining and archery and mountain biking and loads of offerings. The staff are all excellent. The price was very reasonable too. The location is so amazingly beautiful surrounded by lakes and mountains.

IrelandI can't say that I didn't like it this or that, but there were plenty of spiderwebs in the room ( and spiders) close to the ceiling. Other than that, the room was very clean. Will still give 5 stars out of 5 🙂

ItalyThe bed ruined everything. It was big, but the quality of the mattress was horrible; don't expect to have a good rest in it. A real shame for a 4-star resort. The breakfast (sweet one) was average at best.
Nice location with a lot of beautiful nature, friendly and helpful staff, a nice restaurant and a nice, big suite.

ItalyOur room was rather small, I would definitely consider paying extra for a larger room if we were to stay again. The rooms look a little tired, could do with an upgrade.
The hotel's location is spectacular, and it is nice to take a stroll through the forest on the premises. We had a large balcony which looked out over the mountains. Breakfast was great, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.

SlovakiaWe had a wonderful stay at Delphi Resort Hotel & Spa. The location is absolutely stunning – nestled in nature with breathtaking views all around. The breakfast was excellent, and the variety of daily activities offered something for everyone. Whether you want to explore the outdoors with hikes or join a guided session, the friendly and professional instructors make it easy to enjoy. IrelandStrangely enough the food was all cold! I sent my pasta back as it was cold and had prawns and fish in it so I wanted it piping hot. My partner had beef and he said it was just warm. Breakfast items were also just warm and were cold by the time we got back to the table. Renata on reception was not very welcoming, no smile and seemed ready to go home. Also mentioned something about us damaging or breaking something in the room after we provided a debit card for her to pre auth on the room.
Location was beautiful and plenty of adventures. We went for a 5k walk on our arrival in the evening and every corner was a new beautiful landscape. We did abseiling which was €35pp and wasn't very long and I thought we would do more obstacles but we were being eaten by midgies. Preston was great and a very good instructor. Caleb on check in was very nice. Lovely Australian girl in the bar served us dinner didn't get her name could not see a name badge. She was lovely and friendly. We had room 24 and it was lovely the bed was gorgeous. A nice friendly man seated us for breakfast but again I am not sure of his name. I love a buffet and there were plenty of options.

United KingdomThere was a heatwave throughout the country and on arrival thunder and lightning in the absence of Air Con we had the use of two fans. Please bring midge repellent, you won’t regret it.
The property is set in stunning mountainous terrain. The hotel is beautifully decorated with bedrooms tastefully arranged. The food was beautiful. The resource hub staff were incredible as were the waiting staff - a special shout out to Lauren who is second to none.
