Kathy was a wonderful host...Friendly, down to earth, and genuinely helpful in a low key way. We admire what she's accomplished in creating and operating Applecroft House. Kathy's guesthouse is quite serene...tucked away +/- 150 feet from the road, so nicely buffered from any traffic noise, yet it's still within a short walk of Killarney's vibrant and delightful downtown. We loved our stay at the Applecroft House!

Caring, friendly hostess. Cathy does everything to make guests stay as comfortable as possible. Attention to details. Very cosy cottage, clean, comfortable, very quiet. The best breakfast in Ireland. Shops and restaurants are 15 min walk away. But the stroll is very agreable. Parking. Wifi. Lots of tips for tourists.

Absolutely beautiful property and location. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices. Homemade scones were 👌 Kathy the host is lovely. 100% recommend this property.

Nothing to not like.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Applecroft House! Kathy is such an amazing host. It was our son’s third birthday and she made him a little cake, it was so thoughtful. She also brought him books and some legos. We looked forward to her homemade breakfast every morning, can’t wait to come back!

Everything was perfect

Breakfast was delicious, with so many options. The staff were also so friendly and went out of their way to help us enjoy our time there.

Honestly, I can't think of anything that needed improvement.

Kathy and her Family were extremely friendly with a warm welcome. Knowledgeable with details on where to visit. Even made maps. Location was a comfortable walk into Killarney. The triple room was spacious and ideal for a family sharing. Her much highly reviewed breakfast lived up to its reputation. The soaked oats divine. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you so much.

Applecroft House is in a quiet neighbourhood. It felt very busy in Killarney so we were pleased to have a peaceful garden and room to come home to. It is a 20 minute walk into the centre of town and cost €9.50 for a taxi back to the B&B. Our hosts were fantastic and made us feel very much at home. Kathy gave us lots of tips for local attractions and went the extra mile for our son. It’s the smallest of personal touches that make the difference between a good and exceptional stay. Our room was very spacious, exceptionally clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. We particularly liked the Bircher muesli.

This is by far one of the best BnB's we have ever stayed in. The hostess anticipates your every need. We loved our stay, and appreciate the old-fashioned hospitality that you rarely find anymore. Thank you for making our trip to Ireland wonderful!

Exceptional place, quiet, beautiful, and in perfect distance from vibrant centre of the town. Spacious room, garden on the doorstep, absolutely amazing breakfast and perfect location. Kathy the owner looked after us superbly. Highly recommended place.

Everything is just perfect!! Rooms are really big, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is amazing and the service couldn't be better! The garden is gorgeous! Very highly recommendable! We wish we could stay longer!

It was one of the best places I have stayed in my whole life and I have travelled a lot. Kathy is absolutely lovely, excellent and her whole family gave us a warm welcome. Kathy bakes everyday, the breakfast is wonderful. The place, the house, the beds and the garden, everything is just so well thought. This is a gem ! We loved our stay 💕
