Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandKitchen facilities need some attention, quite old and no tea towels supplied to dry dishes. Location was pretty good, but if walking need to be careful as the road both sides is narrow and very busy.

United KingdomWould have liked a mirror and dressing table on the 1st floor otherwise your battling between each other on the ground floor. Yes you can hear some road noise as these are old style wooden buildings but nothing some ear plugs wont help with.
Beautiful setting, clean villa with a large outdoor kitchen and dining space. Water and bathroom amenities were provided. Breakfast was nice with a variety of choices. I see others complained but its a free breakfast in a villa that is very well priced! The shared pool was great and set in the middle of all the villas.

United KingdomWe had the 2 bedroom villa no doors separating the rooms so not private. It was ok for us as we stayed with my daughter and her partner. Outside area wasn’t very comfortable but a large clean space. Quite different to find and slope isn’t great if you struggle with energy !! Plus lots of steps up to villa.
Pool was lovely villa was very nice and clean. Extremely comfortable beds.

United StatesA Tranquil Stay at the Sari Bamboo Villas – Thank You, Betty & Team! Our stay at the bamboo villas in Bali was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, Betty and her staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their hospitality and attention to detail truly made all the difference. The villas are beautifully designed, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One of our favorite parts was the gorgeous pool—we started every morning with a refreshing swim, which set the perfect tone for the day. The complimentary breakfast was another highlight—healthy, delicious, and made with fresh ingredients, a perfect way to fuel up before heading out. The location is ideal, just a short distance from downtown and the famous Yoga Barn, making it easy to explore while still enjoying a quiet retreat. A huge thank you to Betty and the entire team for making our stay so special. If you're looking for a unique and relaxing place to stay in Bali, this is it! Highly recommend, and we can’t wait to come back.

United KingdomThe reviews are correct that you need a goodish fitness level to stay here. The hill to walk into Ubud is quite substantial as is the hill and steps to actually get to the villa. The steps and hill are slippery so it was fine for me as a relatively active 30something but I definitely wouldn't be able to bring my more elderly mother here. The outside space was great but the chairs and sofa weren't the kind you can lounge on.
The villas were in a great quiet location and there was a lot of space in the villas and a nice area to chill outside and the pool was great. Staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast was easy to order. Good WiFi. The beds were also super comfy. I didn't actually realise that this was a two bedroom villa but no door on either bedroom haha and the living area is actually outside and just the bedrooms and bathroom inside. Luckily I was with friends I have known for years. This would actually be a bonus if I was staying with a bunch of girl mates as you can shout up to eachother but if it was two couples it may be a bit awkward or you would have to keep things very PG.

IndiaA long-mirror for the lady to get dressed was missing.
The breakfast was customized and the hosts were happy to deliver anything we wanted from the menu. We also had dinner and lunch on different days and it met our expectations and that too on a very reasonable price. The hosts and their staff were very humble and polite and they addressed all our requirements. I must acknowledge the location, the serenity and calmness with ample space in a 2 bedroom villa for a family of 3 of us. Housekeeping was superb. We recommend this villa to all travelers.

AustraliaMy villa needs a little more attention regarding maintenance.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by a warm and friendly team that stood out with their exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to accommodate any request made my stay even more enjoyable. The villa is a bit far from center of Ubud (30min walking), and we can hear the traffic, but that's common nearly everywhere in Ubud these days.

United Arab EmiratesMosquitos, my god there are so many mosquitoes. They provide a mosquito net for the bed, but there are still so many. The pictures don’t show that the property is a bit dated/old. It’s right next to a busy road so there is noise at all hours.
2 bedroom with garden view is spacious and comes with living area with kitchen. The shower is great and the water is clean filtered in the sink. The pool is great and the staff are amazing - very helpful and contactable by WhatsApp.
