Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe most incredible start to our holiday. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the monkeys. You can sit with breakfast and watch them play around on the wall opposite. The staff in the hotel were so welcoming and gave us tips on the area. The pool area is beautiful, lovely and peaceful as it's only a small hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Walk 2 mins out the hotel and you have restaurants and shops but again very peaceful area, not your usual busy tourist area. Easy to shop without being harassed.

AustraliaSometimes a little out of the way if you want to explore Ubud city centre but not too far out of the way.
This is one of the most beautiful places, the rooms and styling are stunning, it was very fun at night in the Bali Bohemia bar as well. You can see monkeys without going to the forest. Staff were lovely too.

New ZealandThe room I stayed in was very close to the restaurant/bar so on nights when they have music it is very loud in your room.
Great place right next to Monkey Forest with beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Large room and really nice lay out.

AustraliaThere was nothing not to like, I have stayed here more than once.
Whilst breakfast wasn’t included there was plenty of available yummy options within easy walking distance. We had a kitchen in our room so we made our own coffee and sat on the beautiful verandah each morning.

United KingdomThe only thing I found an issue was my room seemed quite dark regardless of how many lights I had on
Beautiful grounds next to the monkey forest and easy access into town with fabulous individually decorated rooms. Extremely comfortable bed and very good Aircon and spacious bathroom with tea/coffee making facilities…. Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant attached was really good too

New ZealandIf I’m being fussy the water pressure could be stronger and the drains could be more efficient. Certainly no a problem for me!
Love the decoration, furniture, bathroom, porch and pool. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was amazing, great restaurants, spas and, of course, the monkey Forrest. I’ll be back as soon as I can💗

United KingdomExactly as its name. Very bohemian Bali and there’s huts! We stayed in a hut, room around the pool and jungle room and all were comfortable, nice and clean. Just watch out for the monkeys!

GermanyEspecially the textiles can be cleaner. Bathtube more decorative than useful. No in-room water dispenser. Restaurant is average.
Very spacious and original design. Loved the private pool, much bigger than expected. The bathroom was great. Kitchen with a large fridge. Controversial: We enjoyed the monkeys visiting us in the afternoon.

United StatesThe location would be better with less motorbike traffic for more quiet and ease of walking. It would have been nice to have more food options without gluten. Thinner pillows! All of the pillows were too puffy! I slept with a towel under my head instead.
I loved all the colors and how uniquely each room was decorated. I also loved the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful! Several called me by my name. The food was delicious and well-prepared. (The chicken fell off the bones!) The juices and smoothies had such great combinations of ingredients. The Open Mic night was so lively and fun! The grounds were beautiful and lush.

United KingdomThe lighting in the room was very dim, so it was quite difficult to read. The aircon control was a bit temperamental but the staff were very helpful in coming to fix. Sometimes when coming back to the room after the bed was made up, the mosquito net was left open at the sides, so I got bitten a few times as they'd sneaked their way in from earlier in the day.
Beautiful scenery and a lovely atmosphere. It was so nice sitting on the balcony or by the pool watching the monkeys. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bali Bohemia is a great spot in general, as they have an onsite bar / restaurant which hosts an open mic night on Thursdays, chess club on another night, and flamenco music. Very popular with expats, nomads, locals and travellers. A brilliant place to go if you're travelling alone and looking to meet other people.

It’s a wonderful bohemian themed property. Each room has its own personality. There is a great pool and our villa had its own private pool. It’s so close to the monkey Forrest and UBUD town. We loved it.
