Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaMy room, #1 smells very musty, ensuite has no exhaust fan, and 3 tiny openings were taped up probably to prevent mosquito, hence smell & odor are trapped and lingers on for long time.
The room is very lovely decorated and furnished.

Czech RepublicAlthough the rooms are modern there are many things that need fixing. Firstly there was a wet spot on the ceiling of the bathroom which drip water on the floor, making puddles. There is a gap between the entrance door to the room, which means that any animals can enter the room - lizards, mosquitos etc. The rooms are relatively clean, but the staff mainly do the bed and I am not sure, that during our week stay they swept or mop the floors or changed the sheets. The hotel is further from the center and it is not accessible by car (100 m from the road). The walls are thin and you can hear everything from outside and next room. The pool only has two sun beds, but they lend you sun towels. To sum it- the hotel is nice, but I am not sure the price for the hotel is adequate for the service you get.
The hotel looks really nice from outside, there is a pool. The rooms look modern. In the room there is a safebox, a kettle with tea and coffee. The bathroom has a showerhead and there is also a hairdryer. Wifi is working nicely, eventhough sometimes falls. You can sit in front of the room on a small balcony.

PhilippinesInitially the door was hard to open and close but they were able to fix it in the middle of our stay. The cleaners in the morning would make some noise and we can hear them from the room.
It was clean, the bed was spacious, it’s in a secluded area so we won’t hear motorcycle noises

NetherlandsIt’s quite far away (10/15 minute walk) from the Main Street, and the entrance to the hotel can not be reached by car. Prepare to walk everyday, or get a scooter. Also some of the beds seemed a little creaky/old, with dented mattress but not super uncomfortable. Airconditioning was working but could definetely use a replacement because even though we set it to cold temperature it was still quite warm in the night. Also it was leaking a little water, but with the high humidity in Ubud that’s something that can’t really be prevented. Breakfast was a little disappointing, for sure you can get better value for your money at the many cafes around Ubud
Nice little guest house hidden away in the streets of Ubud, really has the Indonesian vibe. Room was quite comfortable, not super clean but satisfactory. Shower was very nice, and room cleaned everyday. Staff was very friendly, they arranged to decorate for one of our birthdays which made them feel very special. The rooms are furnished nicely, and feel quite cozy. The greenery around the hotel is amazing, it really gives you the jungle feeling. A lot of services can be arranged by the hotel staff, who are always very willing to help. Clean towels always available upon request. The pool was very refreshing and it was super nice to dip in after a long day of exploring the amazing surroundings. A few bugs here and there, but luckily no crazy insects, only a few mosquitoes. WiFi was working very well. Plenty of seating areas, every room had their own little patio with a table and two chairs.

MalaysiaIts slightly far from the city (monkey forest), but thats ok because here more peaceful and quiet. We even have our scooter so no problem at all!
The room & guesthouse so beautiful, from the decoration, interior and exterior! The price is worth of money. The staff is very kind, helpful. He helped us to rent a scooter from 3rd party & delivered to the guesthouse. He even helped me to get an iron to iron my headscarf since iron is not available there. They also decorated our room for our happy anniversary, complimentary! 5 stars for customer service!

ItalyThe location is ideal for those seeking tranquility away from the bustle of central Ubud. However, the uphill road to reach it is not suitable for vehicles over a short stretch, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially when arriving with luggage. Ants, both inside and outside, are a common occurrence in Bali. We found it necessary to ask for a refill of soaps and shampoo as they were occasionally overlooked. Additionally, a minor drawback is the slightly yellowed sheets.
The palce is very nice and welcoming, and the staff is super kind and attentive. The private bathroom is very functional (spacious shower with hot and cold water). The patio in front of the room is perfect for breakfast (delicious). The bed is large and comfortable, and the pool is well-maintained. Overall, truly relaxing.
