How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe hotel is small but this is its advantage. Even though we were in August, we didn't feel it was crowded. The room was comfortable and quiet plus well air-conditioned as we hit the hottest days of the summer so far. The parking situation is OK as well. There is an underground parking but we didn't need to use it as we always found a place at the back of the hotel for free. Breakfast is really good with fresh produce. Each day there were some new things which made it even better.
Only the size of the underground garage. Be careful when you have a larger car.

They claim to have air conditioning although it felt more like a fan and a couple nights felt like it was blowing hot air. There was no way to control temp or fan speed or anything. The massage experience was awkward and looked like I was at the dentist office.

Verified reviewStaff were friendly, welcoming and ready to assist with anything. There was a tray of sweets for the guests at reception. Room was clean and tidied everyday. There's a spa on site with jacuzzi and sauna which was lovely. The breakfast was yummy, particularly the cheeses, the fried mini vienna/sausage and the cheese salami pastry. The coffee was delicious too. It was close to the hev szentendre station, restaurants and supermarkets.
The room was smaller than expected although it was a single room so managing my luggage was a bit of a hassle but other than that my stay was lovely.

Verified reviewThe location of the hotel is great, very central and convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had everything that we needed. Breakfast was good and had a great variety of food.
We booked this hotel because it had a spa. on the hotels page it states that the spa is open between 9am to 9pm. Upon arrival, around 2pm, we went to check out the spa. when we got there the jacuzzi didn't work and the water was very cold. we spoke with the reception 3 separate times and had to go turn the jacuzzi on ourselves because the guy at the reception didn't help us, and when the water didn't heat up after a while, we were told it needs more time. When we came back from our long walk in the city, around 8pm, we went to check again, and the water was still very cold. the person at the reception did not ask even once if the problem was solved or even checked in on us.

The lounge area in the sauna was way to cold, couldn't relax there and needed to stay in a sauna constantly. Also the swimming pool had a sign saying 30-32 degrees but was closer to 22

Parking entry is a nightmare, easy to scratch your car. We also left early but we weren’t offered a breakfast bag.

The hotel and its parking in the garage are located in the old town of Szentendre, the streets are narrow, but we are the only one with indoor parking, the parameters of the garage are listed on booking.com. Next time we can suggest outdoor spaces, but unfortunately they are not guarded spaces belonging to the hotel. It was mentioned that aircondition is available but it was not. Room was on last floor under the roof and warm. with open window it was noisy even during the night because of cars. The guest supplies in the bathroom was not a 4 star hotel standard. Only shower gel and body lotion available.

My gf is hungarian, once the staff knew she could talk in hungarian, the staff completely ignored me. I wish they tried talking to me too in english as well.
