We were only at the property for a few hours overnight, but the house was very charming and a great location that was close to the airport, 5 min away. Even though we arrived later than planned, our host was gracious enough to wait on us to greet us upon arrival, and had figs and water for us.

There were quite a few mosquitoes everywhere. Inside the property and outside. I would suggest having bug spray or mosquito repellent bracelets. We got quite a few mosquito bites.

Beautiful place, great location and amazing hospitality

We had a very nice stay in Country House Bakicevo. The owners are extremely polite and helpful. The house is into the nature with beautiful view over a forest and the sea. A very nice surprise was when the owners gave us amazing tomatoes and peppers from their garden.

Super clean with all the basics and even a washing machine. The host is incredibly kind and accommodating ! 5 min from the airport which was perfect for us on our way home from Croatia

Very clean , tidy and comfortable. We had an early flight and needed to be at the airport early and this served our purpose very well. Host was very very welcoming and keen to help with any of our needs. Beds were comfy. Too bad we couldn’t stay at the house longer.

Perfect place for feeling the slow country side pace. Apartment equipped with everything you need for the stay short or longer. Parking next to the house.

Beautiful countryside view from a comfortable, shaded veranda. Host’s mother gave us flan and grappa upon our afternoon arrival. So gracious and friendly! Host also helped us arrange airport transportation which was great!

Some loud airplane noise but stopping around 9 PM.

The apartment's location is conveniently near the airport and is nestled in a wooded area, which is lovely. The original structure is quite picturesque with its stone walls, abundant plants, and a beautiful garden.

The outside of the apartment is stunning, but the inside doesn't retain the historic stone charm, having been recently renovated with thin walls. We could hear the neighbor's TV late into the night. The stove is rather dated and took a while to heat up. The provided bedding was sparse, leaving us cold through the night. It's a pity the inside didn't match the lovely exterior and the gracious host!

Country village setting close to the airport. A charming old house with lovely views.

Location was excellent for our overnight stay before catching a plane from Dubrovnik airport which is only a few km down the road. We even had time to slip down to a pretty local bay in the morning before heading to the airport. Maro was an excellent host, contacting us before we arrived to arrange check in, and met us at the property even though we arrived late evening to make sure we had everything we needed.

Very kind and hospitable family. Great dinner and breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

It was a beautiful and private farm property with far off views of the Adriatic Sea. The apartment was very clean and big enough for our family of five. They had everything you need in terms of amenities and necessities. The Internet also worked great. They made an amazing breakfast for us and they offered dinner and lunch as well. However, we didn’t stay that long. I would recommend the food they make. It was very close to the Dubrovnik airport. Only a five minute drive. And also close to a local beach. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a stay in a quiet area near the airport.

Everything the place was amazing

The host family and the farm house were spectacular- the grapa tasting was a great surprise. The home cooked meal was outstanding. Family very nice. apartment comfortable to warm because of air condition.

Very cute house with the superb terrace to the fields and forest for a calm sunset, ancient kithen, georgeus garden, where it looks that everything is growing with full of hosts love. Precisely clean, all the amenities that is needed. Super friendly and helpful hosts! Near the airport.

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful countryside outside Cilipi, which is very close to Dubrovnik airport. We sadly were only able to stay one night & would have loved to stay longer. Maro and his family made us so welcome & prepared the most delicious meal for us, which was served on their beautiful terrace. They also went above & beyond to get pizza/drinks for our children. Everything was perfect and relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble. Our apartment was very spacious. clean, and very well equipped. Thank you again.

You know, we get lots of requests for opinions on places we’ve visited. Generally because we have limited time, we don’t respond to those requests. In the case of a country house like a Bakicevo, we feel we must respond because our hosts had a real sense of hospitality. We got in very late and yet they insisted on taking our baggage to our apartment. they had also asked us about food and we asked if we could have a late night snack? It was past 10pm, but they said yes and provided a genuinely gourmet dinner. The same thing happened the next morning for breakfast, a gourmet experience with a most delightful Turkish coffee. we enjoyed the vine-covered terrace and the charm of the place. there’s nothing we didn’t like about this neat and super clean apartment. We couldn’t recommend it more. We forgot to mention that it’s very convenient to the Dubrovnik airport.

Easy location close to the airport, very cheerful and welcoming young hosts.

Great owner, good food and atmosphere.

The location was lovely and very relaxing. The apartment owners were very helpful in many different ways. The breakfasts were enjoyed in privacy with excellent food, and unlimited flavored rakija with different ingredients, that were a joy to explore. One of the owners helped us with left behind bag with passport and money, that ended up without any loss, except for pride.

WE enjoyed peka that was prepared one night for us. It required a wait because there were previous customers who came for the same. It took patience, but was great.

A lovely welcome to Croatia.
