Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFelt it was a bit pricey, but overall worth it for the location and very nice hotel.
I had stayed at this hotel 20 years ago and same as back then it did not disappoint. The hotel has excellent rooms and amenities. View of the city was very nice. Breakfast was excellent. Parking secure and access to elevator from the parking ground was a plus. The staff was very helpful during our checkout, securing our luggage for the extra hour we needed and ordering a taxi for us to the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel.

GermanyThe reception and the hallways were clearly renovated more times than the rooms. I notice this trend with some hotels world-wide. Why would the hallway be more important than the rooms? The room was dark, dated and smelled funny. The air-conditioning was loud, so not possible to sleep with it and the room got hot in the middle of the night. Not able to open the window/balcony in fear of mosquitoes. The food in the restaurant was exceptionally bad. The pasta I ordered tasted vile and was all congealed into a yellow fluorescent looking blob.
The location. It felt secure.

HondurasThe entire room smells like mildew, the carpet has a really old smell to it, and the bathroom curtain smells like it hasn't been changed in a while. The room feels sad as it lacks lighting and looks different from the bright and airy picture posted online. Come night time, the discotheque nearby is loud, and you can hear the music till late. I believe that the hotel can be better considering the price is more than $100/night. Due to the storm, Sara, we didn't have any choice but to stay a few days more. Luckily, on our 4th day, we moved to another room, and It was much better as the carpet and the room did not stink as much as the previous one. Some of the front desk staff need to be re-trained on hospitality as they do not smile or acknowledge guests. Every time we drop by the desk, not even one staff member smiled to us. They always give us the feeling like they are being bothered and not welcoming at all. During breakfast, I asked one of the servers if I could order something from the menu, and I was told a flat "No." He did not even ask what my order was. On the 2nd day, I asked another server if I could order something else apart from the food line and he was kind enough to accommodate my order of plain fried eggs. We didn't get his name but he was wearing glasses and was really kind to us.
The breakfast was good, and the hotel is located in one of the nicer areas in Tegucigalpa and safe too. The room is huge, and the view from the balcony is amazing, especially during the night. One server from breakfast was really kind to us(he was wearing glasses)

GermanyThis is the feedback from my colleague: It was too loud because outside this district there is an open air bar/ restaurant, which plays at least 3 days a week loud music from 2pm- ~2am. They do not belong to the hotel chain, and it seems nobody can do anything against them. The music is very loud, so sleeping is an issue, but also working in your room during the day. I could only bear my stay because I had good earplugs. The furniture is old.
This is the feedback from my colleague: It seems it belongs to an owner/ organizations, who seems to own all the hotels in this small district. Therefore, the district is safe and clean, and with some restaurants and bars Free room upgrade
