How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewAmazing view and very good staff, however it's too far from the main city which makes it good and bad both, good for being away from the noise & bad because you have to commute a lot to visit the main city. Staff is very nice and supportive they guide you well not in terms of food but also travel which makes it tourist friendly.
Food options for vegetarian / Asian vegetarian are not at all available which makes it difficult for asian / hindu vegetarian traveller like me to survive :)

Verified reviewSuper child friendly 5 star hotel with a brilliant infinity pool looking out over the South China Sea and a mini waterpark for the little ones with a large team of lifeguards on duty during pool hours between 8am and 7pm. Food was excellent in the various restaurants ( we did not try them all) with an agreeably lively atmosphere in the main lounge area. Most if not all rooms look out over the sea and are of a high standard as one would expect in a 5 star facility. Our 5 year old enjoyed his stay particularly the pool and the soft play area (payable) and the little touches around the place such as the panda bears everywhere in the eating areas
Not the cheapest place to stay in HK, but you get what you pay for. No drinks allowed in the pool area which may be a minus for some, but as said the hotel is very much family orientated. Slightly out of the way but there is a half hourly free shuttle bus ( large coach) till late in the evening to take you to Ocean Park MRT from which it is only 1-2 stops to central HK

Verified reviewThough the location is a bit far, shuttle bus is provided at the MTR station. We can easily reach the destination.
The sofa is a little bit aged. The food of Chinese restaurant can be improved also. Though we enjoy the vebe and the ocean view. It is nicely decorated.

Verified reviewGreat view from rooms, clean rooms. Great pool and view from pool. Good variety of food options at breakfast.
Pool hours - closes too early (7pm), not possible to order drinks or eat by your deck chair poolside. For a Fullerton hotel, you’d expect full service and not to order via QR code by the entrance where staff is handing out towels. You are only allowed to eat/drink outside the pool area by the tables at the entrance to the pool area (lots of signage saying no food or drink by the pool). I’ve never seen this in any other hotel and definitely would never see it at any of the Fullerton hotels in Singapore. It also closes for cleaning at 11am- 12pm. We had just finished breakfast and wanted to go for a swim with our daughter but only had 30min before staff ushered us out. It’s no longer covid so it doesn’t make sense to clean a pool just a few hours after it has opened. Also, it is “mandatory” for all children under 12 to wear a life vest. Our daughter is a competent swimmer so this rule seemed very unnecessary. For a leisure stay, hanging out and swimming by the pool with our daughter was most important to us, so all of these elements really annoyed us about the hotel. At breakfast we were told to get our own coffee and tea. Would never see this in another Fullerton hotel either. This is a basic service standard in any 5 star hotel when guests are seated at their table. The property doesn’t feel like a Fullerton - it seems there are decisions made by management to cut costs and manage staff in a more economical way instead of being customer centric. We wouldn’t choose to stay at the properly again in future. It doesn’t seem to cater to western guests’ preferences.

Verified reviewComfort, size, and the price for the room upgrade. Also, the Panda robe and smaller slippers for my son was cute. He used both during our brief stay.
The drain plug for the bath tub in the bathroom didn't work (would not plug), so we had to use a towel while giving our son a bath. Also, there was a crack on the side of the shower that would cause some water to leak (on the toilet side), so we requested extra towels for the floor. We also didn't have hand towels to use, just the (very big) bath towels and smaller face towels. Not sure if that is something that the hotel doesn't provide in general.

Would be great to expand the assortment of the buffet especially on the breakfast . The smoking are bit far from. Lounge bar schedule is quite not suitable.
