Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaWhy are these people allowed to use booking.com? When I arrived, the receptionist told me booking.com had made a "mistake" and he cancelled the reservation and he charged me a lot more. He told me that if I didn't want to pay, I could leave. I was exhausted from the flight so I paid and he took me to a room without windows. Extremely noisy people live there. They were partying all night and smoking. Do not come to this place.

PolandIt've got the worst experience ever in this hostel. I felt so u safe, outside and inside the building there were men calling me and suggesting inappropriate things when I entered the building. The moment I got to my room (which btw was not the one l booked, the staff brought me to different floor, different hostel called Manhattan or sth) I decided to book another place and I checked out in the morning even though I had booked 4 nights at this place. It was said that the reception was open for 24h but when I arrived at night there was a sigh saying that don't bother us after 11:30pm. I knocked a few times at the doors but I guess the staff was pretending they don't hear can't tell. They opened eventually but didn't seem very friendly. Everything was old and dirty. The size of the room was literally same as the bed plus a little square (if I opened my small suitcase you wouldn't be able to open the doors) and a little bathroom. Under the bed there were weird boxes and an old guitar. The linen was kinda dirty and I found sb's hair there (same with towels they gave me). Before booking this place google the building name because you might learn scary things about it. It's not safe to go there especially at night and as a woman.

And after paying they just make us wait and The hotel we booked is not the one given to us, they said its fully booked but we book the hotel way back February 2023 and our trip is June, then they will give us much cheaper room in a new cheap hotel that they said were sister company.We argue with them and said that they shouldnt do that and they want our group to be in separated floors, We fight and argue and we dont allow what they want to do with us and they give us another option,I originally booked 2 rooms for 3 and 4 pax but they give us 3rooms instead for 2, 2 and 3 pax but the airconditioned in one of the room is malfunctionin thank God there is an electricfan.The room is small. The toilet bowl is so gross that they didnt even have the time to clean makes us wanna puke everytime we gonna used it. They also didnt change our bedsheets which they promise to do so. When our time to check out comes they were nowhere to be found we cannot reached them in their number and then when we return they are charging us 200hkd for late check out, which is not our fault because they were nowhere to be found. OVERALL the atmosphere is scary. I dont wanna ever come back and stay the night there at chungking mansion.
The location is great. There is towel and tissue provided.
