The view from the balcony was the best part, but the apartment was very comfortable and spacious. Loved that we could use the hotel pool and other amenities like trampolines for kids

    Everything was great, no complaints.

The location was amazing, and the apartment was very clean. You cannot beat the view! The hotel amenities were great, too.

Communication was a little tricky, since sometimes you’re communicate with someone managing the apartment remotely, and sometimes you need to call someone on-site to help. So that got confusing at times, and check-in itself was definitely trickier than other places we’ve stayed.

The apartment is spacious and perfectly located with an amazing view and great amenities. We spent time around the pool and the jacuzzi and called the water taxi to visit San Juan via boat and got picked up off their doc.

We loved the hotel room, we had a 2 bedroom suite that was fully loaded with everything you would need if you wanted to cook. It also came with a bag of Ducal Beans and fresh eggs and french bread we could use for our breakfast. There was also coffee and sugar. The View is BREATHTAKING!! The property has a restaurant on site, there are also a lot of board game s that you can use downstairs like ping pong, foosball table, chess, connect four etc.. We loved coming down to the dock for sunrise and sunset, some people also would swim in the lake...we didn't because our understanding is not all areas of lake are clean for swimming. We also enjoyed relaxing in the pool and Jacuzzi. The weather in Panajachel is nice and cool not hot like some areas in Guatemala.

The only thing we did not like was that it was a bit far from the town, you do need to call a Tuc Tuc to take you to town. The host will give you a list of people you can call though. They charge Q10.00 each way per person which is a little over $1.00 but....the traffic can be pretty noisy in Pana, so the Tuc Tuc ride was not a problem when you consider no noise pollution. The only thing that could be better in the hotel room itself is the beds, not comfortable at all. the most comfortable was the couch in the living room. I am not as particular when it comes to beds, but these beds were really hard so if you have back problems its something to consider.

The breakfast supplies were a great start on our first morning there. Plenty of eggs, black beans, and bread. And lots of coffee supplies and orange juice.

The process to rent this apartment wasn't quite as easy as making a hotel reservation. Payment had to be made via Zelle (which always makes me nervous when I don't know the person I'm sending it to). The receptionist knows nothing of the arrangement, so my attempts to explain drew blank stares. Its important to call your host (apartment owner) and complete payment before you arrive. I hadn't figured that out, so there were some moments of waiting around until I had finalized payment (via Zelle) and received our room code. In short: 1) book online 2) make payment 3) pay the remaining balance before arrival 4) call your host before checking in. I'll know better for next time.

The view of the place was great and cleanliness was good too.

The breakfast was a bad joke, 6 eggs, 1/2 pound of beans and some breads, was ridiculous for 8 persons (we were 12, but they said the breakfast was just for 8)

The location is beautiful, just as seen in the pictures! We loved the lake views, swimming in the pool, the lake and the jacuzzi. It was a really nice bonus that the host had left an inflatable kayak and life vests to use at the beach as well when the water was calm. The game room in the hotel was also a great spot to relax with the family and have fun.

The beds could've been more comfortable, but we made the best of a beautiful few days.

This is a great location for a larger group that wants to stay someplace with a pool and other amenities on-site. There was plenty of space and the grounds were beautifully landscaped.

The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The included breakfast was a bowl of raw eggs, a bag of bread, a jug of juice and a squeeze pouch of refried beans. The listing made this seem like a hotel, but this is a condo offered by a private party. It required payment by Zelle or other means outside of Booking.Com which didn't feel great. I was never provided with notification for the final payment OR how to access the room upon arrival, so when I arrived (late due to plane delays), it was a struggle to get into the room. Wi-Fi was good, but the password wasn't posted so I couldn't access it until the next day when someone came by to collect cash for the final payment (again, unexpected and uncomfortable).

The view is beautiful, and it was really nice to have the living area and kitchenette. It was great to sit out on the balcony to take in the view in the mornings and evenings, and besides the occasional barking of neighborhood dogs, it was a quiet and restful place. The restaurant in the hotel complex had excellent food. All in all, it was a wonderful stay! We would stay there again.

The bed linens were old, and so the fitted sheets did not stay on the mattresses at night. It would have been good to have more bath and kitchen towels. It would have been helpful to know that "Paradise of Atitlan" is just the name given by the owner of one privately owned apartment, located within an apartment/hotel complex. So, when it says that breakfast is included, that does not mean breakfast down at the restaurant; the owners provided foods that could be prepared for breakfast in the apartment.
