To improve, I would adjust the breakfast options to be more accessible to all dietary requirements (I could only eat one and even then I wasn’t sure if it had dairy in it when it came) I would have loved basic toast & dairy free butter or basic fruit platter. I would add a private mirror onto each of the beds for an extra addition. Overall, I loved this hostel and this are small additions

The size of the 14-person room exceeded my expectations as someone with a large suitcase who had enough room to put it away and use it without feeling in the way of everyone else. The staff were super nice and the beds were made everyday which made it feel like a luxurious hostel. The beds were a decent size with a good curtain and had some storage in the area

This may be the nicest hostel I've stayed in. Relaxed and social, excellent location in Antigua. The staff are lovely and breakfast was delicious and good cocktails. Dorm room was comfortable and they even made your bed each day! Showers were hot and had good pressure - would definitely return!

Very little to complain about. Unfortunately the shower in my room was backing up just a tad to the point where a 3 minute shower would result in water rising above your foot. We wore sandals in the shower for this reason.

This was one of my favorite hostels in three months of travelling, easily. - The beds are the most comfortable ever, with a double pillow and DUVET!!! Felt like a real hotel stay. - I also really liked that in my dorm I had almost like a shelf all throughout my bed. - Those bathrooms??? Unreal! How beautiful, probably the best and cleanest I've seen in a hostel. - Free breakfast is very delicious and the fact that you can choose between a couple options is much appreciated. - The staff is so so so nice, I forget their names but everyone from the cleaners to reception to the bar staff made me feel at home. - Great location for Antigua!! I weighed it comparing to others and many are a bit of a further walk from the center. I LOVED IT HERE!!!!! Highly recommend staying.

This isn’t so much a reflection of the hostel but the crowd wasn’t your typical backpackers or hostel goer’s so the social vibes were interesting. Not a ton of facilitated social events.

Lots of cute common areas, well maintained gardens, staff was really fun. Everything was pretty comfortable and the staff keeps everything very clean. Free breakfast was great! 3 choices, typical, pancakes or tropical oats, also unlimited drip coffee. Laundry service was quick as well. Staff was very funny and friendly. Pretty close to everything in town. Showers do actually get hot, but better in the evenings, only gets a little warm in the afternoon with all the people coming in from the volcano hikes.

Maya Papaya was lovely - luxurious compared to other hostels we've stayed at before. The communal space is great, the staff were very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was superb! We enjoyed the daily happy hours: 2-4pm for beers and coffee, and 5-8pm for the cocktail of the day. We were also hugely appreciative of being able to leave our bags in the storage room behind the reception whilst we were away on our two day hike of Volcan de Acatenango. Daily room service & fresh towels were a great touch too... Thanks for having us!

The price is a bit high. We wanted a really comfortable night since we were coming back from the Acatenango hike so we took it anyway, but it’s a pity because we would have loved to stay longer but it was too expensive compared to other options in Antigua.

The facilities are really nice and comfortable and the location is great. We had a private room with private bathroom but the dorms also seemed nice. The staff was very kind and helpful (for ex with organising the shuttles) and the breakfast was sooo good.

The top bunk is almost impossible to get down from, but otherwise everything was great!
