From the room, to the facilities, to the food at the restaurant and the location, everything was 10/10. Breakfast and dinner included in the room rate is such a good idea as even though they are some places walking distance you won’t want to leave the hotel once you get there; food was home made and delicious. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, Alfonso makes some great cocktails! The room was great, very comfy bed. The location is unbeatable, so pretty from sunrise to sunset by the lake, the complimentary kayak and paddle board is a great addition, and so is the complimentary coffee and tea station. We stayed two nights and were very sad to go, we hope to go back again in the future. We also treated ourselves to a massage which was fab, highly recommend!

Beautiful location on the lake, and the grounds are all really well maintained. The room was super comfortable, and the food for dinner and breakfast delicious. We had a blissful few days

The chef is fantastic, dinner was a pleasant surprise every day! The hotel is beautifully done on a fantastic location. The 2.5-hour early morning walk at the nearby Biotopo is a recommendation!

The wifi didn’t work in our first room. They changed our room, and then the wifi didn’t work in the entire hotel. We imagine it wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it made working (we are part-time nomads) impossible. The hotel is far from transportation to tourist attractions and a bit inaccessible. Because we didn’t drive here, it took creativity (and Spanish speaking) to find affordable ways to move around the area.

The property is beautiful. It’s nicely designed and has spacious rooms. The multiple docks on the water make it so fun and relaxing. The food was healthy and delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating (for example, one morning the prepared breakfast to go, and, the day we left, they gave us early breakfast).

    All good!

Incredible location, service, and included dinner and breakfast! Rarely come across a hotel that I would love to be back at, but this has made it onto the list for sure. Special shoutout to Lola the Labrador!

All the praise and love for this place and its staff. When complimenting the delicious food and kind service, their response would always be “it’s made and done with a lot of care and love”- and honestly, that sums up this entire place. Great place to relax, detox, chill, eat, drink, swim and one of our favorite stops in Guatemala.

Sometimes it's hard to find a spot at the lake docks.

You feel like in paradise. It's a beautiful place by a lake that is like a giant natural pool. The atmosphere is calm and you can relax every second. And the best part was the service, every single person from the staff makes you feel absolutely happy.

    Zero!

Literally one of the best places we've ever stayed. Super nice staff, the best food ever every meal, such beautiful grounds, the hotel cat and dogs are such a bonus, lovely docks for swimming, easy parking.

The rooms are not sound-proofed at all. We could hear everything from the other guests that sat outside and were very loud at night. The hotel needs to enforce quiet time since so many guests are getting up at 3am to do sunrise tours at Tikal. Bring earplugs if you have a room with windows facing the lake. The pool needs some care as it looked like a stagnant mosquito-breeding ground and did not look usable at all.

The hotel is in a beautiful and peaceful setting on the lake. We loved the complimentary coffee available all day on the wood-burning stove, and we enjoyed sitting outside in many of the common areas to read, relax, and take in the scenery. The dinner included in the room rate was very good as well. Our room was clean, comfortable, had a hot shower, and the air conditioner worked well. We didn't use the kayaks and paddle boards, but they were available for guests.

The deep gravel parking lot that made it impossible for my motorcycle and resulted in it falling over.

The staff were incredible. The location on the lake was phenomenal.

    Nothing!

Amazing place .. from the moment you get there you realise it’s a special place. We had a room for 3 that overlooked the lake.. literally steps away. The lake is beautiful and serene and there was nothing more lovely than sitting at the end of the dock watching the sun rise with Lola, the resident black lab. You can take the kayaks out or swim in the lake. There are plenty of hammocks dotted around to enjoy the tranquility and drink a cold bottle of Gallo, the local beer. It’s half board and the food is great. It’s definitely a little piece of paradise. We combined 2 nights here before staying in Tikal park and it worked really well.

The rooms are a bit basic (although not very different from most other places we stayed in Guatemala), but all in all very functional, clean and accommodating.

An excellent place to stay! to staff is very friendly and hospitable. the lake facilities are fun and very welcoming. The food prepared in the kitchen is good, but the breakfast and dinner served are of fixed menus, which might not fit everybody. they did allow us to change a bit of the menu for the kids, so that solved the problem with my very-picky-eating children :)

    Nothing noteworthy

Waking up with a view over the lake, stepping out of the room, and straight into a hammock on the pier was great! The rooms felt modern/new, clean, and the bed was big and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and super helpful in supporting us with moving our reservation, as well as booking a (great) tour to Tikal.

Please add table tennis and bathe Lola!

It is incredibly convenient that the dinner and breakfast are included. The piers and the location are marvelous. They also provide the paddle boards and floats that you can use to get to the middle of the lake. We really enjoyed watching the sunset from the water. Corn hole and pull up bars by the water were very nice. They were able to arrange the transportation at 5 am to the airport as well, which was really helpful.

The crocodiles made me uneasy. There was no fresh milk, but maybe there isn’t any in that area.

The view of the lake and mountains was fantastic, and so was the food. The lake was warm enough for swimming, and the crocodiles usually stayed on the far side.
