Some of the people in my group had a room upstairs by a neighborhood bar and said that it was really loud and they could not sleep. My room was at the front side of the hotel and the noise was manageable. There is a lot of noise in the area, but I guess when you’re so central that’s going to be the case.

It was in a central location, was clean, the rooms were spacious and nice looking, almost had an old country feeling, which made it feel nostalgic. I did not use the pool, as I was only there for one night so I am not sure what that was like.

The rooms were in general very clean, however, the bed sheets were not. We also had a lot of hair on the sheets. In both rooms!

In general the location was quite nice as it is in the city center close to the main attractions, restaurants etc. However it is next to a bar, which I read in several other reviews. I would not call it a bar it is a night club. I think it is the loudest club in the whole town. On saturday night it was extremly loud. Like camping at a festival next to a loud music box. The other nights were better, but you could still hear the music even with ear plugs. Beside that, the pool area was quite nice! We loved to chill a the pool in the afternoon. Not a lot of hotels have a pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We changed our room as it was very small. Got a better one (number 5).

Unfortunately, there is a bar next door so sleeping well Friday night was difficult. They offered ear plugs but then they didn't have them available.

The internet never work properly. The bathroom and shower layout in the room (they look like closets).

Location, great for walking around in Antigua. But there is a club next to it so the sound at night is quite loud.

Noisy at night due to a disco near the hotel. And noisy street, but the latter counts for the most hotels in Antigua. Earpugs are recommended in Antigua for sleeping, if you sleep in a room close to the street.

The only problem was that our room was basically on top to the late night disco/multi-bar club next door. We knew it was supposed to be a bit loud and so we packed ear plugs. We used ear plugs and I had a pillow on top of my head and the our room buzzed throughout the night. The next day the staff was so helpful and kind and moved us to a room father away from the music.

The hotel had a lovely pool and was so close to the center of town and had lovely flowers and plants. The staff was so kind and helped us move rooms when we told them how loud our first room was. We could walk everywhere in town and the staff helped us with airport transfer and a walking tour guide.

LOCATION! It’s right next to a large busy bar/night bbq club! Loud music and people til 1-2 am! Every night! Some nights are slightly better then others but it’s always there!

It was a great location as far as close to the centre square and the sites. A beautiful old large Spanish style house. Really comfortable and clean. Always felt safe and secure.

It is out of the hotel’s control— there is a loud disco or bar next door that is noisy until 12 AM. The pool is cold. Too cold for us to swim. There is not a restaurant in the premise, but you are in walking distance to many options.

Clean, well maintained, smaller hotel. I’ve been to several hotels in Antigua and love the old, colonial styles. They are usually run very well and this hotel is no exception. We were very lucky and had a room with magnificent volcano views. You are one block from Central Park— a great place to sit, relax and watch people pass by.

Pool needed a bit of work as the tiles were old and coming off, but I would have still used it! It was also a bit expensive in comparison to other places to stay, and didn't provide breakfast either.

Room was huge! And super clean, comfy beds too. Staff were lovely. Fabulous location!

It's an older property and needs some upkeep. No restaurant on site. No ice machine. Beds need replacement. Super loud night club next door so light sleepers beware.

No breakfast! But a thousand options outside. There is a noisy late night bar pumping music next door. Even later on the weekends. There is no way to shut it out. We were able to live with it.

Location was great. Peaceful setting, great volcano and rooftop view from upper floor bedroom windows. Swimming pool a little dilapidated but kids still enjoyed. Free coffee. WiFi was the best we experienced in Guatemala. I could work and take calls while kids played and watched online. Staff helpful when roads out of town were blocked by protests and we needed to stay longer. Laundry service good.

It is extremely loud at least over Thursday and Friday nights because of the club next door. We Turned on the fan to max to mask it but then felt that the fan was almost falling down.
