“I enjoyed my stay at Casa Madera very much. The location was brilliant, close to the market, restaurants and the boat dock. The staff were lovely and friendly. The hostel is very clean and the staff work hard to keep it that way. The cleaning lady who cleaned the rooms was also super sweet.”

“Excellent hotel. Beautiful, clean rooms, nice bathrooms and showers with hot water. Amazing garden, flowers and extraordinary restaurant over there. Amazing food in the restaurant and exceptional stuff. Front lake and the view on volcano extraordinary. Amazing place to watch sunrise. So beautiful and peaceful. The whole place is so relaxing that i wish i could spend at least one more night there. Highly recommended. If I ever come to Guatemala again i will stay there again for sure. I just fall in love with this place :))))))”

“Gorgeous rustic hostel surrounded by greenery. It’s plants everywhere and there’s a beautiful view from the rooftop. Comfiest bed I’ve had in Guatemala and just a really nice feel to the place. I had the typical breakfast and fruit bowl and both were delicious. It’s also the cheapest place in town!”

“The property is located in the foot hill of San Marcos, which make it already an adventurous experience to get there. Once there you are entering a magical garden with beautiful views from the lake. We want to come back for sure !”
