How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNice breakfast, served in your room at your own discretion. Wonderful view, good AC and WiFi in room. Pool and sun chairs for use outside the reception (which no one else seemed to use) Lots of restaurants and serving businesses nearby. The area has a ‘quiet night’ policy, so there aren’t any partying, loud music or other noice at night.
The tap in my bathroom was loose (although is worked) and no hooks to hang up your towel and clothes. A rather long walk through narrow passes and many steps to reach the room and reception from the street, so it is not a good option for guests with poor walking ability. No place to park any vehicles. My room was located at the ‘main walkway’ through the area, with people constantly passing by as you sit outside your door. Not a problem for me, but if you want more privacy, I recommend you sit on the terrace outside the reception (by the pool) instead, which is much more discreet. The card payment terminal was out of order at check-out, so I had to walk to an ATM and extract cash in order to pay, which was a bit annoying.

Verified reviewThe view from this hotel is absolutely breathtaking – worth a million dollars. The location is excellent: close to restaurants and cafes, yet quiet and peaceful. Everything was spotlessly clean – the housekeeper cleaned the room daily, changing both towels and bed linen, which we really appreciated. The entire staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, making us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious, but the same every morning. We had the pool to ourselves every day and enjoyed the stunning views of the caldera, the volcano, and Fira. Fira is also just a 15-minute walk away, which was very convenient.
The ceiling on the upper floor is very low, so you can’t stand up straight, which makes it uncomfortable to use. Also, the apartment is not well-ventilated, including the bathroom, which can be an issue in warmer weather.

Verified reviewGreat location, amazing views, the Manager was fantastic to deal with and easy going. Pool was great too and you can use it anytime during the day.
The stairs in the room to get up to your bed were quite narrow so one must be very careful coming down. Also you can't fully stretch once you are up in the bedroom area and you can hit your head. However, the view and the facilities are great so it was fine.

Verified reviewAmazing views and location, very close to some excellent sunset resistants. Private pool area was a total oasis with the best views one could want. Wonderful helpful staff.
The bed was very uncomfortable, this was my only real issue.

Verified reviewThe location was great, had the best views and easily accessible to nearby restaurants
The area for the bed which was a loft had very low head clearance.

Verified reviewThe location of the hotel is very good. There was a shop and many good restaurants nearby. Bus stops were nearby. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to Fira, about 15 minutes to drive to the airport. The room was clean and polite and modest. Everything needed was there. The room was cleaned every day, the staff was polite and helpful in every way. The view from the hotel pool was wonderful, 10/10.
The breakfast needs to be reviewed - there were quite a lot of things, but there could have been fresh fruits, banana, apple, for example. Too many baked goods for me. It's not the hotel's fault, but there were photoshoots in front of the room every day from morning to night, it was not possible to enjoy the balcony of your room privately. Because the room was located in a very accessible place where tourists were passing by all the time.

Verified reviewAlexander villas was incredible! Petros the manager was so helpful and accommodating. We got upgraded as soon as we got there, he gave us the best recommendations and took us to all the places we wanted to go ( the taxi and uber availability is complicated in Santorini) We loved it and will definitely go back.

Verified reviewI loved Imerovigli and the view of the pool is magic. But is better you rent a car, buses are not so often.
We had a problem with a big infiltration, they sort it out changing us to a other room. I think the price is high, and I though they have a breakfast… at booking i received a “breakfast time” on instructions, many past reviews talking about a good breakfast. But the manager told us this season is not ofering because there is no employees enough. The bathroom there is no suport to put the stuff while taking a shower (shampoo, soup, etc)

Verified reviewThe villas offered exactly what we expected, the small apartments are spacious, the bed is comfortable and the small terraces give you an option to recover if the day is too sunny or you don’t want to lay only upstairs on the pool. Petros is very kind and the whole team is helpful. The surrounding is beautiful and you can reach thira center in just 5 minutes by car or 20by walk.
Repairing the towels-rack and putting an extra garbage bin on the room would be super.

Verified reviewLocation looking out over the Santorini caldera is spectacular. perros at the front desk is so helpful - ask him to help you with your plans. Personal hot tub was warm and delightful.
Like much of Santorini the property is like a cave built into the hillside - you need to be careful not to hit your head. Access to hotel requires many steps.

Verified reviewThe location is amazing. Breakfast is delicious! But the best part of the place is the staff. They are all extremely friendly and helpful. Pietros is a great host!
Nothing specifically. Our room was a little bit small. But i know there are bigger rooms in the hotel.

Verified reviewIt was very intimate, with pretty much our own private pool. But the views and location were incredible. Up on the cliffs and able to see the whole caldera, walking distance to some amazing restaurants and stunning views all around. Petros the main contact and manager of the apartments was amazing, gave brilliant advice on places to eat and ways to navigate the island as well as being incredibly kind and friendly.
Not much, it was perfect for what we needed. kept very clean and tidy. If anything it was maybe a little small but that’s it.
